Should The Tea Party Abandon The GOP and form their own party?

While I would not advocate this as of yet, I certainly will if the Republicans choose another pc/moderate/liberal republican candidate.

I would love to see this happen, comedy gold. Repubs tried out some very conservative people (santorum, Cain, Bachmann) in the last election and got nowhere with them. The majority of conservatives aren't Tea Party conservatives.

Right now, the Teaparty is effectively costing Republicans some seats in reddish/purple states. It might be better for Republicans if the Teaparty did split off. Of course, the Baggers would have no source of funding, and would wither and die rather quickly.

I dont all of that is true Althea, the baggers will have big money coming from the richest americans like the Koch Bros that created it. I do not think they will be successful.

Its just like the phony Rand Paul, the standard bearer for Libertarianism yet hes not in the libertarian party but the GOP.
They want to use the gop and vilify it at the same time because they know they cant run on their own ideas and win. So they mix and match

As I have posted before, the Duopoly D’s & R’s have America’s elections rigged and no others need apply. They together have set up cumbersome non-uniform helter-skelter ballot access regulations throughout the states that drain campaign donations and resources from third party coffers.

The Duopoly D’s & R’s own the mainstream media and the media’s access to government information and interviews.

The Duopoly D’s & R’s own the national debate system through their arbitrary requirements of participation and their ownership of the MSM.

The Duopoly D & R dictatorship has bought the loyalty and campaign donations from Wall Street and every collective special interest group through a Duopoly quid-pro-quo bribery system of historic favorable legislation for campaign donations and retirement lobbying jobs for ousted and retired politicians. It’s a “Good Ole Boy” network that rewards bribery and ignores the wellbeing of the nation. That’s why we have a 17 trillion $ debt and rising millions by the minute and diminished freedoms.

The Duopoly has y’all by your partisan brainwashed balls. The Duopoly owns the electoral system and they’ve corrupted it to its core.

“Don’t vote, it just encourages the bastards.” (P.J. O’Rourke)

Surely standing openly as the weird weirdoes they are would be against the Constitution? The districts everywhere having been gerrymandered, how could they win except as parasites on the Party of Lincoln?

Cock bros didn't start the TP, they took it over. Try and get at least one thing right someday, will you?
Furthermore, they would eliminate funding to a third party due to the duopoly system mentioned by Classic Liberal. The Cocks don't waste money on third parties.

Tried Out? Not a accurate account of what happened....what actually happened was that the gullible paid too much attention to the media...as in letting the media nominate Romney for them in essence he was merely the last man standing helped and propped up by the medias demonizing of some very good republicans who could have won if they had the opportunity of going before the national electorate--and look where that stupidity led....another loss and I see nothing to indicate they will not try the same old play next time .....aka doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results...one definition of insanity.

The mainstream republicans or the majority as you refer to them are politically correct boobs...so confused they have no idea what the Republicans need to do to win...so ignorant they do not even understand why they have lost two times in a row now.

The popular term for them (though I dislike it) 'RINO' aka republican in name only....not descriptive enough for me and does nothing to absolve the confusion over what is wrong with the republican party and why most likely after another loss it will be assigned to the dustbin of history.

If the Republicans really want to win next time they need to do two things....understand why they lost last time and come to grips with what they need to do next time in order to win.

It is not Rocket Science...yet the majority do not get it because they listen to the alphabet media and to the east coast elitist controllers of the organs of the republican party.

The Republicans need to give up treason and become a normal party, surely?

It warms my heart to see the lefties wringing their hands over the fate of the Republican Party. It is almost as if they care ;)

Well, fair play, they are probably offering better advice to this tottery historical edifice than the nutters who are busily destroying it to serve their thicko masters.

It's not rocket science but you would think it must be since you have it so backwards. Romney didn't get elected because he was way too far to the right. So far that a lot of moderate republicans voted for Obama intead. They didn't want Iran invaded.

By all means though, drag your party even further away from center, Reduce your odds and your relevance even more.

Look here Chump! You are entitled to your opinion as deluded and mistaken as it is--just remember though---opinions are like assholes, everyone has one....and pathetically you arrived with that opinion compliements of the left wing media.

Yet, there is one good thing about your post....demonstrates how so many are coinfused and a indicator there will be a repeat performance unless the dupes wake up and quit listening to the media talking heads who stupidly insist that the Republican must become more like democrats...do you think your enemies are a good source for a winning formula next time? Apparantly you do.

The fundamental reason for Romney’s defeat is apparent, if largely unreported. It is not just that blacks, Latinos, and single women showed up in record numbers at the polls. It’s that whites didn’t.

The final numbers suggest that 91.6 million votes were cast by whites — seven million less than the 98.6 million that were cast in 2008! Meanwhile, 16.6 million blacks voted — 300,000 more than in 2008; 11 million Latinos voted — 1.7 million more votes than were cast by Hispanics in 2008.

We lost because whites stayed home! Particularly among the elderly, the voter turnout was disappointing with seniors casting only 16% of the vote, much less than had been anticipated. (Seniors were the only age group that Obama lost by a significant margin — 15 points).

The truth of the matter is so many whites elected to stay home and not vote was simply because Romney was too politically correct, a member of a cult, offered nothing of substance to the White Working Class and a very rich man who could not identify with working people typifieying the stereotype of the Republican party as the party of the rich.

I did? How did you determine that? In fact, the opposite is true, I formed my opinion based on the many republicans that told me they voted for Obama, that Obama was more conservative than their hero Raygun and that Romney was way too extreme.

Yes, some cast their vote for Obama by not voting.

Worst of all, you have no one to offer.

Ryan is reviled by moderate republicans, independents, and dems alike. Cantor is equally hated. Every fool that Romney beat is useless to you as well. The citizens will not take a chance on another Bush even if he is wearing sheep's clothing.

Christie is washed out, Cruz is an actual idiot, independents will NEVER go for Walker, plus he has his education hurdle ( there hasn't been a college dropout in the white house in 70 years) and unionised government agencies on all levels (including police) will not support him.
