While I would not advocate this as of yet, I certainly will if the Republicans choose another pc/moderate/liberal republican candidate.
And then what? Perhaps you can drag Ross Perot out of obscurity.

Right now, the Teaparty is effectively costing Republicans some seats in reddish/purple states. It might be better for Republicans if the Teaparty did split off. Of course, the Baggers would have no source of funding, and would wither and die rather quickly.
I dont all of that is true Althea, the baggers will have big money coming from the richest americans like the Koch Bros that created it. I do not think they will be successful.
Its just like the phony Rand Paul, the standard bearer for Libertarianism yet hes not in the libertarian party but the GOP.
They want to use the gop and vilify it at the same time because they know they cant run on their own ideas and win. So they mix and match
I would love to see this happen, comedy gold. Repubs tried out some very conservative people (santorum, Cain, Bachmann) in the last election and got nowhere with them. The majority of conservatives aren't Tea Party conservatives.
They would love it, but it will never happen they know they would never win anything
Tried Out? Not a accurate account of what happened....what actually happened was that the gullible paid too much attention to the media...as in letting the media nominate Romney for them in essence he was merely the last man standing helped and propped up by the medias demonizing of some very good republicans who could have won if they had the opportunity of going before the national electorate--and look where that stupidity led....another loss and I see nothing to indicate they will not try the same old play next time .....aka doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results...one definition of insanity.
The mainstream republicans or the majority as you refer to them are politically correct boobs...so confused they have no idea what the Republicans need to do to win...so ignorant they do not even understand why they have lost two times in a row now.
The popular term for them (though I dislike it) 'RINO' aka republican in name only....not descriptive enough for me and does nothing to absolve the confusion over what is wrong with the republican party and why most likely after another loss it will be assigned to the dustbin of history.
If the Republicans really want to win next time they need to do two things....understand why they lost last time and come to grips with what they need to do next time in order to win.
It is not Rocket Science...yet the majority do not get it because they listen to the alphabet media and to the east coast elitist controllers of the organs of the republican party.
It warms my heart to see the lefties wringing their hands over the fate of the Republican Party. It is almost as if they care![]()

No. The Tea Party should abandon that name altogether, and focus on retaking the Republican Party. While I would not advocate this as of yet, I certainly will if the Republicans choose another pc/moderate/liberal republican candidate.
It's not rocket science but you would think it must be since you have it so backwards. Romney didn't get elected because he was way too far to the right. So far that a lot of moderate republicans voted for Obama intead. They didn't want Iran invaded.
By all means though, drag your party even further away from center, Reduce your odds and your relevance even more.
I did? How did you determine that? In fact, the opposite is true, I formed my opinion based on the many republicans that told me they voted for Obama, that Obama was more conservative than their hero Raygun and that Romney was way too extreme.pathetically you arrived with that opinion compliements of the left wing media.
The truth of the matter is so many whites elected to stay home and not vote was simply because Romney was too politically correct, a member of a cult, offered nothing of substance to the White Working Class and a very rich man who could not identify with working people typifieying the stereotype of the Republican party as the party of the rich.
