Should parents be arrested for underage drinking at their home?

Agreed. So the question for 18-20 year olds is a blatant NO. It is age discrimination to have the drinking age at 21 and be a legal adult in every other situation at 18.

For those under the age of 18, I would still answer NO. The authorities should not be arrested. Kids are going to get the alcohol if they want it. Having it in a home means they have at least some supervision vs. them going off somewhere unsupervised. If the parent allows under age drinking and a kid leaves and subsequently drives drunk... THEN the parents should be arrested.

Agreed

It really boggles the mind how you can be so insightful about some things and such a damned idiot politically. Is it a Rainman kind of thing?

You should tell by his comments regarding USC that SF isn't playing with a full deck.

True. Xanax doesn't though. I used to be a nervous wreck in my previous life, so I know all this stuff. I really don't need it anymore, seriously. But I remember when I did.

The magic of modern medicine.....glad to see you mental disorders are somewhat under control....take care of yourself.

Ha, you got me there Bravo. Congratulations. Was a long time coming.

I'm glad you're doing better. I once spent some time in the nervous hospital back in the 70s. When I came out I voted for Reagan after being a Minnesota Democrat all my life. Might cure you too.

The drinking age should be Capt. Billy's age + 1.

I hope you choke on a dick
Ok, as for the OP, I obviously disagree with a fuck ton of the laws about alcohol. Id like the drinking age to be 16, and the driving age raised to 18. When you make alcohol less risky, you make it less fun. When I was younger drinkng till I didn't remember anything was fun but after a couple of years, I stopped (mostly). Now I have a couple drinks to relax, or just to be sociable. If a kids parents, like mine, see no harm in letting their child drink I say go fucking nuts.
I mean, conservatives are always saying that parents should have more control over how they raise their children and neo-liberals are all about drug experimentation and what not. And Libertarians share my position, so I'm genuinly curious where all this opposition is from.

In Germany, 14-year olds can drink beer and wine if they are with their parents. 16 without their parents. Hard liquor at 18. That will never happen here, at least not in our lifetime.

In New Mexico, parents can allow their children to drink alcohol in the home. Only their children. If your kids are having a party at your house, and lots of kids are drinking, and you are home allowing it, then yes, you should be prosecuted. If kids are home partying and parents are not present and had no knowledge, then no. Also, in NM if you let your kids drink at home and then let them drive, you are criminally responsible.

You mean my comments on how they were a bunch of cheating ass clowns being followed up with the media reporting they are a bunch of cheating ass clowns?

How's that National Championship trophy? what? They took it away? ya don't say...
