It will be a man running France either way, Macron or Putin. Putin already rules America and Britain, they don't need a French province as well.

So let's see now, many French presidents and PMs have been crooks. I am thinking of Chirac, Mitterrand, Juppe, Sarkozy, Giscard d'Estaing, Pompidou, de Gaulle, Jospin and Fillon for starters. Hollande isn't so much a crook as a serial philanderer and a total waste of space. Oh and Christine Legarde should be in prison, but was saved by her friends.

Don't know about Macron but he was a merchant banker and that's Cockney rhyming slang for wanker. Still he does speak perfect English, professes to be an Anglophile and has a wife old enough to be his mother. So who knows?
