No. Journalists should never be forced to reveal sources--for any reason- if we are to have a free press.
They should merely be forced to reveal having secret sources so that their reporting is not taken as gospel.
Their past performances would be how we judged their reliability.

Imagine the far right knowing it was Kavanaugh who CHANGED his vote, at the last minute to cost them that win. He and his family would have got more far right hate and death threats, than any Dem. And despite the left being happy, they still would not welcome Kavanaugh to any dinner outings.
