Should Government tell parents...

Should government tell parents how to raise their children?

Governor DeSantis is "investigating" the Broward Center for the Performing Arts for allowing a touring performance of drag queens to perform at their venue. The advertisement said, 18 and up, unless accompanied by parents.

Gov. says the equated to "marketing to children."

Do you think the government should tell private Enterprise what type of artistic performances they can put on?

Do you think the government should tell parents what type of art they can expose their children to? If so, who gets to decide?

The Gov does tell parents what to do

California's compulsory education laws require children between six and eighteen years of age to attend school, with a limited number of specified exceptions.

I'm absolutely sure that my teaching certification and teaching career doesn't have a thing to do with any of this...

Doesn't it? Not only am I sure that you were never a teacher, but if you had been, then the state should take prosecutorial action against you for child abuse. And all the parents of all those children should also sue you.

I guess most people aren’t familiar with Vaudeville and its history.

Let's be honest; most of them are demented and hateful.

My main operating theory is that most are in pain and are selfish enough to seek to hurt others in compensation for their pain. Why else would so many of them seek to hurt Americans?

I'm absolutely sure that my teaching certification and teaching career doesn't have a thing to do with any of this...not a single, solitary thing...;)

Lord, I just love when a drag show causes the empty heads of fake conservatives to explode. It's the end of the tax reporting year, so I just made a donation to Planned Parenthood. Let's see if DeSantis can trick our resident morons all the way to the convention.

I guess you're not familiar with the show..though I've given you two links now...;)
I watched it, and again, you should review the history of Vaudeville and burlesque. A very good book on the subject, “Blue Vaudeville” by Andrew L. Erdman

Drag queens dancing sexually provocatively in front of children and uttering sexual innuendos isn't anything like vaudeville dimwitted wonder dunce. Leftists are the dumbest liars on the planet. :palm:

There's no need to review anything...A Drag Queen Christmas is the subject...not drag in general...
This performance was not child appropriate...it was porn...rated X...not as advertised...and why it's being investigated...Now that you watched it again, would you be comfortable taking any minor to watch..., even if they were "sophisticated and mature"? But the better question might be why would you...or anyone, even consider taking a minor to a show clearly misrepresented as family friendly, btw...?
