Should conservatives be allowed in combat units?

Over 23,000 were called up during the Vietnam War.
Over 8,500 were deployed to Vietnam....
They fought in WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam, Desert Storm
There were call ups in response to crises in Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, and they serve today, right now in Iraq and Afghanistan....

So the bashing of the National Guard is disgusting to most Americans that know better.... and from your link, if true, Colin Powell should know better than to imply that serving in the National Guard was less than honorable service to the country whether one saw combat or not....

Its certainly more service than Bill Clinton, Barack Obama or Joe Biden....and Clinton was a proven, admitted, draft dodger of the first degree....he begged his connections to the military to save his ass from the draft board.

Didn't Clinton send our troops to war? Is Obama and Biden right now not putting troops in harms way.....while they themselves failed to serv in any way...?

So get your facts right before you run off at the mouth, Mr Warrior.....and compare apples to apples and not apples to lemons.

We don't need a draft, as that would bring up the problem of bringing in leftists to the combat units.

While I'm against a draft, unfortunately, it is the only solution to war-mongering politicians.

It's been said the Vietnam war turned around when the wealthy saw their children coming home in pieces. Nothing pisses off a wealthy individual more than realizing there are some things money can't buy.
