Of course it does. It's a status symbol for every White liberal to have a Black person as a pet.

Obama won the presidency because he's Black. And the SS media treated him as their pet negro.

Non-white people are seen as victims who need help from the government and society, white people are seen as privileged oppressors who need to step aside. Just look at how people are demanding that the Democratic front-runners step aside because they're white men.
Non-white people are also allowed freedom of association, have affirmative action, have more free speech, and are portrayed positively in the media.

White liberals do not have African-American 'pets'. Obama did not win because he is half African-American. The media did not treat Barack as a 'pet'.
