Sexual myths on college campuses effecting protection from rape?

Sexual assault victims on college campuses are often met with denial of why the attack took place because of the myths associated with this violent sex crime.

The facts are that rape is not caused by:
• Lust
• Uncontrollable urges
• Sexual gratification
• Appearance of victims

It is an act of physical violence and domination that is not motivated by sexual needs. It has little to do with the need for sex.

I agree because at least to me, the gratification that comes from sex is intertwined with the partners acquiesce to the act and the mutual pleasure that can be attained, otherwise one can get sexual gratification from jerking off.
