Thank you for the reminder. It got lost in the news because a single person was gunned down on video.

How many others were killed yesterday with Guns yesterday?
 
And on this solemn day we can recall, vaguely, a world that came together to support us and help us. A world that we gave to and which, in times of crisis, would give back to us.

Instead of just honoring the memories of those lost on 9/11, you chose to minimize Kirk’s murder and turn it into political point scoring. That only dehumanizes what happened yesterday.

I found myself appreciating my wife yesterday. She is educated and works in education. She watches the nightly news and she votes, but she did not even know who Charlie Kirk was. Politics don’t dominate her life, which honestly felt refreshing to see for a change.

My own connection to 9/11 is limited but my sister-in-law was a Radio City Rockette living in Queens at the time. She was on the phone on her patio when fighter jets flew right overhead. She then said she saw the smoke rising over Manhattan.
 
I lost former classmates who were NYCFD , I was visiting and staying at my cousins apartment a short distance away from the WTC near the Brooklyn bridge
