I pointed out that Congress made an unsuccssfull attempt at outlawing segregation in 1875, I never claimed that discrimination did not occure, in fact it still occures, I never claimed segregation was outlawed. I merely pointed out that in Congress as far back as 1875 there was an effort to do so...

No, Congress made an attempt to outlaw DISCRIMINATION in 1875, and in 1876, much of what they tried to do was rescinded by the Post-Reconstruction Congress. It's a nice attempt, and maybe it's enough to convince a pinhead who doesn't have knowledge of historical facts, but it isn't convincing any smart people here. Most of us realize, America didn't "outlaw segregation" until 1964-65.... almost a century later.
