City workers built a wall of concrete blocks to fortify the police department’s East Precinct on Friday, following a suspected arson attack this week while officers were inside the building.

The barrier wraps around the building at 11th Avenue and Pine Street — where during confrontations this spring, police temporarily abandoned the precinct, while demonstrators set up the Capitol Hill Organized Protest or “CHOP” on the street and Cal Anderson Park, before the city retook the territory in early July.

So much irony, where to begin?

Looks like Seattle thinks walls work!

The Oakland CA police station is a fortress. No wall, but the building itself is like a wall. Its like a safe, one door, and thick as hell.

Seattle is hemorrhaging cops.... it is completely broke and broken....its future looks very grim.

But... but! Walls don't work. The Left keeps telling us that building a wall on the border will keep no one out... So how does the Left running Seattle expect a wall around this police station to do anything. It's obviously a waste of time...

Or, is it possible the Left is wrong once again...?

They're still farting around about the budget. It was passed 7-1, Durka Durka vetoed it, and now the Times is reporting that the retards might not override the veto. Maybe some of the retards will draw crowds of protestors outside of their homes again.

Somebody has gotten a sniff of the Truth that Seattle leaders have made a huge mistake over the last months supporting the murder of their city.

Of course, they were trying to murder it before, and no one cared. I guess this has all been too forward.

Hubris is dying as the money runs out with no way to get more.

That plus the people are losing faith..... the failure to deal effectively with the riots, the adoption defund the police without the consent of the governed, , the destruction of the downtown which is also a ghost town now, the failure of the West Seattle Bridge half way into its expected life with no money and no plan to solve this huge problem.....for starters.

Oh, yeah, the bridge failure definitely upset a lot of people.

That it failed, that the city has known about this problem for so long but still does not know what the problem is.... nor what to do about it...and there is no money in part because they squandered a lot of it.

First of all it's not a wall if you look at the picture it's just a Jersey barrier You in bread and moron

Re the West Seattle Bridge I read in the comments of the West Seattle Blog that they do know what the problem is....the contractor did not build the bridge as designed.....they decided to make changes....which I assume were signed off on by the city and state but if they did not know they sure as shit should have known....either way this is their fault. .

If this is true we know why nobody is officially talking.

I know the crumbling I-5 infrastructure was due to a cheap contractor using poor quality materials.
