SCOTUS:Trump can’t use Tariffs

Yes, and no... Depends upon whatever answer supports their most current whim.

Right, but it's best politically (which matters for the upcoming midterms) that they don't ignore it. Thankfully, in this case, it isn't necessary for them to ignore this ruling. Their next move will be to shift as many tariffs as possible that were implemented via this particular "emergency" statute to being implemented via a different statute. I'm sure that the Admin was already well prepared for this potential SCOTUS outcome.

IOW, this isn't in any way/shape/form a KO against Trump or his tariffs. It's just a soft punch against them that can (and will) easily be taken in stride.
I was messing with Chives. That was an AOC quote advising the Biden administration. I haven't completely lost my mind, lol.

I definitely believe the Trump administration is ready to go with plan B. This is a setback, sure, but Trump will do what Trump does, buckle down and get the job done. It only motivates him even more. Unfortunately, he'll have to do it all himself which is a bit of a limiting factor.

If congress was even half as determined and hard working as Trump things would be much easier. They could act right now and I think a couple have called on the rest to do so. Will they? I doubt it. And therein lies the problem. Democrats never win at anything, republicans hand them wins. Trump followed by Vance or Rubio, plus a congress with unity and resolve equals winning every election for decades.

Piggy, shut the fuck up, MAGAT cunt.
Can't you just picture this little puke? I guarantee he's a tiny little man so homely the doctor actually slapped his mother when he was born. Domer gets to feel like a man when he's got one hand on the keyboard and the other clutching all 3 inches. Zero class, low IQ simpleton trying to be as vile as possible so he can finish what no girl has ever done for him. We have all kinds here on JPP.

Wow. Another huge loss for your daddy trump. How humiliating.

A great victory for the world's consumers!

The dummy is trying to cover himself. AOC never advised the Biden Administration to violate Supreme Court rulings.

They (incorrectly) ruled that he can't impose tariffs under a particular statute because the word "regulate" under that statute apparently allows him to do basically anything except for implementing tariffs (or something like that, so the majority of the supreme court says). He'll just reinstitute basically all of those tariffs under different statutes, so it's not the "win" that you think it is.
You really think so? Because I'm read the ruling - in SCOTUS's majority opinion tariffs are considered taxes and only congress has the right to impose taxes.

I don't think you know what you're talking about, Sweet thing. Perhaps you'd better let people familiar with the actual opinion opine on it's meaning?

That's a good boy. Run along now, the grownups are talking.

I don't care what you think about how Trump talked about the court. Also, I seem to remember you idiots have been crying for months about the SC being in Trump's pocket. Is that still a libtard belief??

Besides, I believe that the Trump administration should ignore this ruling. The interesting thing when it comes to a ruling is that it relies on enforcement, and it is up to the Trump administration to enforce, to choose whether or not to enforce such a ruling. So, just continue on like it never happened. What can they do??
LOL - you don't care that the person we elected president showed his ass to the world and behaved like a spoiled child when his illegal tariffs were shot down - including by 2 justices he appointed.

It was a glorous defeat of trumpism today, Kitten. Look for more of it!

Blue wave - comin' at ya beeyach!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOO!

Can't do it. It's unconstitutional. Also, I don't think congress will go for it - the Republicans are already in trouble and relief from the tariffs is something they can tout they accomplished. Even though they laid down for all of it.
