Yeah, I'm sure Warren hurt the feeling of entrepreneurs everywhere such that they're going to Go Galt and withhold their productivity. She gave a Labor Day speech that was supportive of the role of labor in generating wealth in this country. And an accurate speech at that.
I know it's shocking to see someone actually speak on behalf of working people, but to call it "socialist" is fucking stupid.
I've read two business plans this week from two different friends who both spent over a year working on them. IF they are able to get funding for them we both know chances of success probably aren't high (actually I don't know what percent of new business ventures 'succeed' but I'm assuming if it is anything like the restaurant business the percentage is very low). Both friends had help in writing their business plans and both would need to hire employees at their businesses and both would need to use roads and other public services within their businesses. But it is 'fucking stupid' to have someone like Elizabeth Warren lecture them after all the work they've put in to even attempt to get these ventures off the ground. But hey that's what good government employees are for right?
Look, I don't expect you to agree with Warren, but "socialist?" Get real, cawacko.
I just know I wouldn't touch your dried up old thing!
So I was out tonight Dungheap with one of my best boys. I knew he went to Harvard Law but it turns out Ms. Warren was one of his professors while in school. Now my boy is very libertarian economically but he is not religious so that is why he is a registered Democrat, and voted for Obama.
He heard Ms. Warren's labor day speech and said she didn't sound like a communist, like she did in her speech, while teaching his class. So I have no problem with saying the mindset of her speech was one of a socialist. I'm not saying she's a socialist nor have I ever called any other politician a socialist on this board. But I will call her out for that speech. So you may tell me to "get real" but I already was real after hearing her remarks.
