Schumer think Pelosi is in trouble and will lose the House

He said (if you bother to read past the headline) that Republicans have a 60 percent chance of winning the House. This actually is a much better chance than it was up until the odds began improving for Democrats following
the Supreme Court's abortion ruling and the knee jerk reaction in red states to criminalize women. At the same time, Senate odds which had been slightly in the favor of Republicans have shifted dramatically until, as of this morning, Democrats are favored 71 percent over Republicans' 39 per cent at fivethirtyeight.com, historically the most reliable of the polls. There the House odds are poorer for Democrats than Schumer's projection, the exact reverse in fact of the Senate numbers though they also have been edging upward weekly since the Dobbs decision.

CRIMINALIZE WOMEN!

You're very stupid.

Nancy is already hinting that she wants to be ambassador to Italy and the position is open now.

She's almost too old to be a grandma. More like a GG.

We, the People need people at least 20 years younger....which would be 62 in her case.

Only because of recent gerrymandering and voter denial legislation in Red states. Whereas the Senate is a state wide election, the House is local.

Don't forget Sanders and Leahy (who is smart enough to step down before Vt.'s Republican governor appoints a Republican to his seat when he dies in office)

The list is long. Too long. The two main parties use fearmongering to get reelected. "Vote for us or they'll take over!!!"

My advice is to vote straight Libertarian tickets until better candidates are offered by either party.

In large part, that's how these dinosaurs stay in office.

Because too many Americans are too chickenshit to vote third party or because they don't vote at all?

On average, about 40% of Americans don't even vote. Why? Because they have lost faith in their own nation.

A combination, with the latter being the biggest factor.

Either they are blocked from voting by hurdles in poor communities, feel that 'it doesn't matter' because nothing ever changes in their lives, or simply don't follow politics at all.

In most states, the outcomes on the national level are predetermined. Red/Blue state issues. People don't realize that their local elections might be the most important.

We also need people who don't sell out to the fossil fuel lobbyists.

Sinema got the carried interest loophole taken out of the bill.

Manchin is a polluting whore, but we know that.
I was more surprised by Schumer in this deal.

NextEra Energy, a utility giant and stakeholder in the Mountain Valley Pipeline, is a top donor to both Mr. Manchinand Senator Chuck Schumer, Democrat of New York, who negotiated the pipeline side deal with Mr. Manchin. Mr. Schumer has received more than $281,000 from NextEra this election cycle, the data shows. Equitrans Midstream, which owns the largest stake in the pipeline, has given more than $10,000 to Mr. Manchin. The pipeline and its owners have also spent heavily to lobby Congress.

The only way to do that is to take the money out of politics. You'll never pass a law that says certain industries can give money but others can't, and only to Democrats, not Republicans.
