School superintendent candidate says job offer was rescinded after calling two female

Columbus City Schools has an enrollment of nearly 50k students. Easthampton Public Schools has an enrollment of less than 3k. Columbus City Schools is a literally ten times more complex system to run.

As for calling him "Vito", when did you get on a first name basis with him? Do you think "Jonathan" or "Erica" will take the job that is offered to them? If you do not know who I am referring to, maybe you should stop pretending.

Careful, Walter, you are skirting the edges of…being banned.

Discernment isn’t your bag, is it Walter?

My first thought too, so I checked. Superintendents evidently get very busy during the summer.

Still...he would be absent almost half of the time during a full year.

He probably wanted to mirror his existing part time job.

It is the time they have to fill all the positions. It is a school district of less than 3,000 students. You are right about superintendents, but I doubt this particular position gets that busy ever.

Walter, you have no clue as to school superintendents and their year round obligations.

I coached a youth basketball team with our school superintendent during the summer break and he was getting calls during our practices and games.

Could you post anything that I have posted about an 800 ft. limitation, Walter?

Walter, if you have ever flown in the ATL airspace, I probably prevented your plane from flying into Stone Mountain…A simple thank you will suffice, Walter.

I have no clue as to the 800 ft. limitation. I did not post that Walter.

Stone Mountain is 800 feet high, so for a passenger plane to hit it, that passenger plane would have to be cruising at an altitude of less than 800 feet.

I am not an air traffic controller, like you claim to be, but I know that planes cruise at 40 times that. No air traffic controller would make that big of a mistake.

What would I be banned for? Telling the truth about the size of school districts? Using the first name of the people that applied to be superintendent? You already used one of their first names.

It is a public process who applies and is interviewed for superintendent. Dr. Bruno, and Dr. Faginski-Stark seem very qualified. See, I did not use their first names.

There are several obstructions that an aircraft can encounter on final approach (the ILS is captured at the Outer marker, usually about 9 miles from the Glide-slope touchdown point.)

I am not a controller now, Walter, I am retired.

The G/S angle is anlmost always 3 degrees, Walter, in case you are ever asked.

Maybe they moved Stone Mountain since you retired, but when I was last in Atlanta it was to the northeast of Atlanta, while Hartsfield was to the southwest. A quick look at the map shows there are 20 miles between the two.

So you are claiming that you had commercial flights flying at less than 800 feet, more than 20 miles from the airport? Do you know how many residential neighborhoods would be disrupted by that? How dangerous that would be?

When you "retired" were you escorted to the prison by police? Seriously, if you are flying planes that low close to Stone Mountain, that is what you would be looking at.

Given the fact that he was the principal when the school was first built, I'm sure that factored into the original invitation to apply for the position.

They simply couldn't agree on terms.

An incoming Massachusetts school superintendent revealed that his job offer was rescinded prior to his start date after he addressed two women on the school’s committee as "ladies" in an email.

Vito Perrone was offered the position as the head of Easthampton Schools on March 23, but was notified that the job offer had been withdrawn over his choice of salutation in an email to the chairperson and executive assistant, both female, who reportedly interpreted his "ladies" greeting as a "microaggression," the Daily Hampshire Gazette reported.

Perrone told the local outlet that he sent the email in an attempt to negotiate higher pay and more sick days after calculating that the annual salary of $151,000 was around $14,000 less than his existing job as an interim superintendent at another school district. Perrone, who had served as principal of Easthampton Highschool eight years earlier, said in a Friday interview that he was willing to take a pay cut but was hoping for a cost of living adjustment in the three-year contract......

OMG Is this what the leftist loons have come to? What should he have called them? Menstruating People? Dickless persons? What?

More likely the offer was withdrawn because he demanded more than they were willing to pay. But as is true with all of you Reichwing perpetual victims, it's because of "woke."

No, Walter, I claimed no such thing.

I claimed that if you ever landed at the ATL airport, I kept you from flying into Stone MT.

The Nav-AIDS in the aircraft can fail…and have, Walter.

No police escort, Walter, but water cannons on two fire trucks spraying water above my car.

You wouldn’t understand that, Walter.

It’s a sign of respect for a retiring, beloved, area manager.

Nice imagination. Simple and childlike, but nice.

We must consider the source: senior citizen who acts and thinks like a 7th-grade grrrl. :rofl2:

This is just more of the Reichwingers "war on woke" and likely is mostly if not completely false. The school board is constrained from telling their side of the story by legalities, but the rejected whine-ass loser can make up whatever narrative will sell to Fox and stooges. Wonder how much he sold his sad little tale of nonsense for?

Lest we forget:

All I'm saying is she negotiated her contract... and look what she got...Ridiculous isn't it? And guess what?https://www.ccsoh.us/Page/1162#:~:text=Interim Superintendent/CEO Dr.,Angela Chapman..... I'll be interested to see who they hire... I wonder if it'll be a lady? I don't think he'd mind if I call him Vito.. they should have gone with him...

Walter, in case you are ever asked, the 9960hz. sub-carrier AM modulates the VOR (Very High Frequency Omni-Range) carrier, not FM modulates it.

The 9960 sub-carrier is FM modulated at a 30 hz. rate. Even seasoned veterans sometime get that wrong.

Another tidbit, I was once told by a pilot that there was no ID on the ATL 9R runway G/S. I calmly told him that there is no ID on any G/S.

Silence.

Another tidbit, at the Moron de la Frontera AFB, near Sevilla, they had an alarm on the Localizer monitor. The Nav-Aids tech, upon arrival, reported that a herd of sheep had surrounded the near field monitor and had shut the Localizer down.

True story.

Another, an F-105 landed long and went through the barrier and took out the Localizer antenna array and clipped the obstruction lights on the building.

The tech was outside and ran and was not harmed...he had to change his underwear though.

True story.

Indeed.

The salient part:

“The Easthampton School Committee has officially labeled the word ‘ladies’ as a microaggression and has canceled Dr. Vito Perrone, despite support from the community,” an April 1 Facebook post by the association reads. “Changing votes behind closed doors is unacceptable! Shame on the School Committee for participating in cancel culture.”

The association said a survey of members showed Perrone as the favorite of the three candidates for the superintendent job.

You would think that the school board would choose the candidate that the people preferred...hmmmmm
