You are correct... There are multiple versions of the incident.... And the speculations here are wild indeed.... But then they always are.... And that will never change on JPP...
Race Derangement and Syndromes of all types flood this board... people refusing to consider and
accept the truth Because that would mean admitting that they were wrong in their initial reactions....Example? Even though the Daniel Penny Has been acquitted in our justice system there are those here who Still refuse to accept what actually happened.... in this most recent case the truth will come out eventually as well... but the end result Is always going to be the same... two lives unnecessarily lost.... On that we should all agree....Sadly that's not likely to happen around here though...

Anthony is young and this is his first felony. He will likely get out of prison and still have a life to live. Sadly Metcalf we have no more life to live. What a waste. I'm amazed at how little control some people have over their emotions.

Anthony will still have to live with the fact that he took the life of another young man, no matter what the actual prison sentence is, living with that knowledge is a life sentence...for his family as well. It is a terrible tragedy...and so avoidable... Simple Common sense and there would have been a track meet instead of a murder and a trial...I don't know what can be done about the lack of self control...Teens tend to have a short fuse...but public skirmishes are usually easily broken up.... when there's no weapon at hand...
Teachers, coaches, parents, and the public in general have be advocates for Zero weapons at school or athletic functions...no tolerance if one is found...no tolerance if one is used...
What's happening right now in this situation is sending the wrong message to others....just look at the comments here...and social media rumors are complete insanity....
I know what the questions and comments at school are going to include today....murder someone...you get to come home and your family gets a new house and car....I've got to find out if all that is true...unreal....

Of course they would. They thought the mentally ill, yelling, homeless guy on the subway deserved death. Of course, he wasn't white. Imagine if a Black man had choked to death a White mentally ill homeless guy who was acting "crazy." They'd STILL be screaming about it. Their racism is so ingrained in them that they can't even see it anymore.

Telling someone "Touch me and see what happens" is not a threat. It is not a provocation. It is a warning. If you got into some woman's face at Walmart and she said that to you, would you grab her anyway? If so, you'd be guilty of assault and if she pulled a gun out of her purse and shot you, you'd deserve it and she wouldn't be convicted of your murder.

The whole store would no doubt cheer. lol
