Which can be negated by legislation to an extent through Election Reform....something talked about since Richard Nixon and no party ever took it on.

That's the real problem, isn't? Not all the money floating around but how we run our elections? Is there any doubt that the Presidential election for 2024 will begin immediately after the results of the 2022 midterms? That by 2024 American voters will, once again, succumb to election fatigue?
