Saudi Arabia gets special treatment?

Trump has instituted a plan to freeze Visa Applications for nationals of several nations.

That is constitutional, unlike his Muslim Ban. I guess he is learning something about the Constitution as he goes...


But I have one question, why is Saudi Arabia not on the list? Does anyone else know how many of the 9-11 hijackers were from SA?

Don't you know? I'd have thought it was pretty obvious. Did you know that Aramco is selling off a stake in the parent company!

These are unstable-terrorist infested states, or state sponsors of terrorism in Iran's case.

Saudi Arabia is fighting al_Qaeda in Yemen (AQAP) - as well as internally

Almost all of them. Fifteen out of nineteen.

They always have. I'm surprised this surprises you Jarod. Don't act as if they didn't under Obama either.

Regardless of Pablo Escobar above :D they are a necessary 'evil' if you will. Without SA as an ally, the whole ME is screwed and so are we geopolitically in that region.
 
I'm Mexican, not Colombian, you racist! And I would love to see SA fall and screw over the ME (once we're energy independent).

You are mentioning basic realpolitik
'Special relationship' (not special interests/treatments) is more then a transactional type of foreign policy that Trump espouses..

Special relationship is enduring. It's not subject to transactional whims
Britain and Israel also have a US special relationship

ME would simply become mono-polar with Iran not subject to checking by SA -why would you want that?
It would be extremely unstable without the 2 regional powers (representing sectarianism) vying for power.
