Sarah's history lesson

My measure of what a president of the USA should or should not be is irrelevant.
I see a string of presidents from Eisenhower to Clinton who somehow managed to keep America at the forefront of world politics. I see perhaps the most stupid man ever to be manipulated into the position, bush, destroy decades of good and not so good management in eight short years. And I see one, undoubtedly, smart and intelligent man who has devoted much of his life to his country and who had no dynastic backing doing his best to claw back some of the respect and foreign trade destroyed by GWBush.
We honestly watch in wonder at the ridiculous attempts to unseat a man who has, in two years, earned back much of the respect of the world.
Now there is a sort of parallel here with Thatcher of the UK. Overseas the creature was adored but she did more to divide the United Kingdom than any leader before or since (although the latest incumbent is doing his best to bring in the same divisive policies, but without the support of an American president).
I guess we can't have both overseas and home popularity. But believe me, and perhaps you are not fully aware of this, bush really did screw up your overseas relations. I am sure you realise that without exports your economy cannot prosper. Obama's policies, if you allow them, will make your country more successful. Nothing to do with republicanism or democat - ism.
Your priorities must be foreign trade. Not abortions, same sex marriages, gun ownership. These should not be in the political arena.
Do you honestly consider that you country was better after eight years of bush than it was before? Honestly?

It was predicted, long before The Obama took office, that liberal pinheads would consistently blame Obama's failures on Bush, and we would constantly hear how Bush had 8 years to screw things up, and Obama just couldn't fix it all in 2 years... 3 years... 4 years... 8 years! So it really comes as no surprise that you are making this argument, it was predicted. The fact remains, unemployment is much higher under Obama, new business start-ups are virtually non-existent, oil prices are much higher, housing prices continue to tank, the value of the dollar continues to tank, our effective growth rate is lower than it ever was under Bush, and on the world stage, the United States is now taking a back seat to the FRENCH!

Now you'll notice, I listed specific areas and details of how Obama has failed us as president, you listed nothing on Bush. Just the typical generic Bush Hate speech we've come to know and love from liberals... but here is the kicker... it doesn't matter now. Bush is not running for president, or any other public office, and never will again. You can hurl all the shit bombs you want to at him, it doesn't matter anymore. You can have any kind of wrongheaded opinion of him you please, it doesn't matter anymore. What difference does it make to me? Why should I waste my time defending Bush or arguing with you over whether he was a good, bad, or mediocre president? What purpose is served by me arguing this with someone who has a closed mind, and simply holds a different opinion than me? You can beat up on Bush all you like, it isn't going to save Obama from criticism... I guess you'll have to go back to using the race card to deflect criticism, huh?

You totally nailed this sniping asshole Dix! I called him on his "Bush" defense of Obama earlier in the week. Have you noticed that they cannot (more of his proverbial we) defend Obama's record? You will also note that Obama cannot run on his record so the game this election cycle will be to run on imagined boogeymen aka as grandma getting pushed over the cliff and how stupid GOP challengers are. Though Obama's own gaffes and blunders are always excused... Oblama has a well trained constituency and even a few desperate hang-er-on-er groupies such as Low.

why is legion troll so obsessed with sarah and michelle? i think we need to get a restraining order against legion's obsession :D

So you do not believe that a reasonable intelligence is an important factor when choosing a president?
yes, until recent history proved me wrong.....

Tell me, dear boy, as you appear to be suggesting that Obama is not too hot, what would you prefer him to do and if he doesn't do it, do you think you have the requisite talents to be president? So far you have hidden your superior intellect very well. You shouldn't hide it. Bring it out - let us all see it.

a complete list would take too long.....for example, I would have used the money he wasted on his stimulus program to eliminate all taxes on businesses that created new American jobs......I would have instituted a tax holiday allowing all money in off shore accounts to be returned to the US so long as they were invested in creating new American jobs.....I would means-test Medicare and Social Security......I would have provided financial assistance to low income families that could not afford health care instead of forcing people who could afford health care out of the health care system they already had and into a different one....

Do you honestly consider that you country was better after eight years of bush than it was before? Honestly?

????.....actually, it's pretty obvious that this country was better off after eight years of Bush and before three years of Obama than it is after three years of Obama......

I respond to his posts for the same reason I respond to yours.....when I see something stupid in print I cannot resist the urge to point at it.........

Is this statement: A. Retarded obfuscation
B. Something you actualy beleive?
C. Proof that you are an imbecile.

When I see something stupid in print I cannot resist the urge to point it out.

Yet you said his views are irrelevant. Odd.

Since you can't resist pointing at stupid things in print, point at this:

“He who warned uh, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh by ringing those bells, and um, makin’ sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed.”

in the information age, she is handicapped

...on Fox News today, Palin said the lamestream media was quick to mock her, of course, without even realizing she had made no mistake at all:

“Part of his ride was to warn the British that we’re already there - that, ‘Hey, you’re not going to succeed. You’re not going to take American arms. You are not going to beat our own well-armed persons, individual, private militia that we have,’" Palin said. “He did warn the British.”...

LOL historians backed Palins story but the lefty haters push on. LOL you guys are really scared of her, aren't you?

You're certainly a lefty hater, and you're pushing on.

Which historians backed Failin' Palin?

Michele "Batshit" Bachmann thinks the 'shot heard 'round the world' was fired in New Hampshire. What a fucking brainiac.

Why else would dim bulb redneck Dix think she's the greatest thing since sliced bread?

He needs someone as stupid as he to vote for so he can feel important.
