Since we have an open primary system in my State and there isn't going to be a Republican primary, I think I'll vote Bernie.

With an open primary system, I don't have to. In most situations, the poll workers would ask which primary when you sign in because both parties are having one. While they may still have to according to the law, the only one going on will be the Democrat primary. The thing I look forward to the most is seeing which Democrat I know is the most shocked when they see me there to vote.

Don't think the Democrats haven't done the same thing.
 
Good news. If Sanders gets the nomination a flood of young voters who sat home last time will be rushing to the polls.

That’s the crux of the dilemma facing democrats.

Yeah, Bernie would bring out the youngsters [who are apparently ignorant of history] but at what expense? They will lose moderate Democrats in droves. Why should blacks and minorities turn out for a socialist?

Conversely, will the most energized segment of democrat voters [Bernies people] turn out for a moderate?

Either the moderates will stay at home, vote 3rd party, or make the wise move and vote for Trump.

This has all been in the making for about a decade now.

Recall that the right was basically declared extinct under Obama. Those were heady days for the left. Obama ushered in a new era where national elections would be determined by minorities, women, immigrants and sundry classes of ‘victims’ of white oppression.

This, they thought, gave the Democrat party license to swerve to the left. A very hard left, as it turns out, since an actual socialist is threatening to win their nomination for president.

And now they don’t like it lol?

Well, America has got to get over the Cold War brainwashing sometime - the USSR managed. The brainwashed do tend to die off, fortunately! I very much appreciate the dilemma faced by decent Americans, but, as an outsider, of course I'd take anyone who could beat the senile Fatman.
