S is for Shank: ‘Sesame Street’ to teach kids about when Mommy Or Daddy Goes To Jail

@Tinfoil - I was about to say "blow it out your arse" but that wouldn't be very polite.

Let me just say YOU are missing the point entirely, which is of course your prerogative, but I no longer will beat my head against the wall trying to get you to understand the perspective of people who have a sane view of this issue.

God damn, I'm not fucking knocking the kids, you morons! I'm suggesting the message young children will get is that it's normal to go to jail. They will get the message that it's normal for a kid to have a parent in jail and they'll make the leap that being in jail is normal.

What's next? A character who has a drug addicted parent? A character who has an abusive parent? Seriously, why lionize the children of criminals when there are countless better victims of parents behaviors?

The message children get from this is that are not alone, that there are other people whose parents have gone to jail and this adult showed empathy to the child. The child character was obviously embarrassed about his dad going to jail, he didn't want to talk about it.

The issue was not the crime that the parent committed, the issue was the child.

I think a character with a drug addicted parent or an abusive patent would other good subjects. These are issues that a lot of children deal with on a daily basis. This isn't a show for adults, it is a show that teachies children.

That is a phenomenal idea. Think of the plot lines

The "character" as you call him/her can have their kid hold the tourniquet while they find a good vein to shoot up their heroin. That way kids don't feel like they are the only ones having to go through that.

They could also have the "character" send their kid down to the street corner to get some crack, you know so other kids know there are others just like them

They could have the character get pummeled by their "Uncle Steve" who is actually not really their uncle, but just some guy who shows up on weekends to fuck the shit out of mama and then leaves her with a black eye.

I mean the plot lines are endless. Fuck the Brady Bunch this shit has Emmy written all over it

You'll have to find a rule broken. Otherwise you just want me to ban people you don't like.

Yes, I don't like him; however, in this case YOU called him a troll. I admit I assumed that since you called him a troll you thought that was negative behavior and I pointed out you could end it.

Maybe you like trolls. What do I know?

I do know this board is run by rules 5 yr olds would like. Not my board, not my decision. But I'm also free to express my disapproval of the standards; that's not against the rules either.

Go nuts.

And you are also free to leave and go somewhere more to your liking. It isn't difficult.

Still don't get it!!
Why do liberals love criminals and display a callous disregard for the victims of their beloved criminals?

Therein lies your problem. At first I thought a trinity of four libertarians running a forum wasn't the smartest idea, just like a libertarian country isn't. But really the problem is just you. You are an immature, childish, and annoying schmuck who plays big man because you mod on a forum and have a lot of guns. If ever that tired old phrase about compensating for lack of penis size was appropriate, it definitely is in your case.

007 is certainly one of the more effective trolls we've had.

That's the problem with this forum. You, particularly, revel in drama and trolls. While that's good for forum hits, it sucks in forum quality. This forum has become a battleground of name calling and trolling and may never again be a legitimate forum to discuss politics like it used to be just a short time ago.

Get rid of the ILA's, 007's, and Dude's and things will be a lot better.

JMHO.

Yeah. I don't understand liking trolls. But there's a lot in life I don't understand.

Was it more of a discussion forum before? did I miss the golden years?

Howey is the forums most prolific troll.
Posts insult and abuse and threats against kids, then spends months trolling and spamming trying to force a ban of others.
Pathetic.

Sesame st is off my kids viewing list.
My kids are not allowed to associate with known criminals or the families of such.
It's the only sensible thing to do.
For the safety and security of your child!!
Let em hang out with criminal families, don't cry when they get shanked on the playground.

Howard saying that someone else "revels" in drama and trolls, is as funny as the pot calling the kettle black.

The message children will get is that muppets may now shank one another, and that the show is about to get more violent. :yurtandpoet:
