Ryan says wall will be fully funded

To more quickly begin constructing President Trump’s wall along the U.S.-Mexico Border, the Department of Homeland (DHS) is cutting red tape that would otherwise delay the project.

Under DHS Acting Secretary Elaine Duke, the agency is following through on Trump’s ‘Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements’ executive order by continuing “to take steps to immediately plan, design and construct a physical wall along the southern border, using appropriate materials and technology to most effectively achieve complete operational control of the southern border.”

Expediting of the southern border wall construction is part of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA) which was passed by Congress in 1996 to give DHS more leverage in constructing physical barriers and illegal immigration deterrents along the border.

The 1996 law, for instance, gave DHS the ability to waive federal regulations in order to more quickly construct a border wall to deter illegal immigration from high-trafficked areas of the U.S.-Mexico Border.

Agreed. We will have to see how this plays out but Trump may have boxed Ryan and the democrats in a corner. If Ryan funds the wall the democrats can't stop it. By not attaching it to DACA Trump takes leverage from democrats. If the democrats back off of DACA now they look bad.

If Trump goes back on the wall he loses his supporters.

If this turns out he played them all it will be the funniest thing ever.

Maybe Ryan has seen the polls showing he is less popular than Trump?

Maybe all of these squishy RINOs not seeking reelection is sending a message.

I was watching Morning Shmo and Steve Schmidt thinks Truml is rolling over and basically thinks Breitbart is an existential threat to establishment republicans (they are)

Of course I don't know why anyone would listen to Steve Schmidt. He lost a Presidential campaign, he was wrong about the GOP primaries and he was wrong about the general election.
 
The wall is already under construction, back room dealing is Trumps MO.

A big beautiful border wall for all to see, and yes, Mexico will pay for it.

I agree, not the one sold to these lemmings, by any measure. They were sold the Great Wall of China. They may get a mishmash patchwork of fence with ample broken areas, easy tunnel workarounds and nothing at all around mountains or in the desert.

"Security" will be substituted for bricks and mortar.
 
You need funding sis, and it will NEVER, EVER be approved, considering about 12% of Americans support this wall.
When is Mexico going to pay for it?????????

trump is not rolling over. This blows my mind when people think this. It's outdated thinking that everything must be dem vs. republican. To anyone paying attention last year, Trump ran every bit as much against the GOP as he did the dems. The literal GOP establishment was against him and nevertrumping. If trump makes some deals with dems to coerce the GOP that's going to be par for the course.

I am so done with republicans like ryan and mccain and graham. They are basically already democrats. They can go fuck themselves.
