That is largely true.

Russia has largely destroyed her reputation as a mighty, conventional, military power.


I have said it before - I think Russia was 100% right to help free the Donbas Oblasts who voted over 80% to leave Ukraine.
And who Ukraine had been attacking - and killing/murdering thousands of people in - since 2014.

Kiev were NOT the 'good guys' before February 24.



But since February 24 - Russia have become the 'bad guys'.

I (and others) said before the war that Russia would have FAR, more problems taking Ukraine then many seemed to think.
They are NOT the USSR.
Their military power is far smaller/weaker then it was during the Cold War.

Putin CLEARLY, blew it.
The question is now?
Can Russia expel him, so they can pull themselves out of this mess?

Actually, whacking it is worth whacking 20 or more tanks. ARV are made in very small numbers and are very valuable on the battlefield for recovering damaged and broken-down tanks. They can be a major force multiplier as they keep more tanks operational and in battle.
 
It is not that the Ukrainians or the West are so great, it is that Putin did not understand the capacity of the Russian military.....it is way more corrupt than he knew and he got told lies by his subordinates that he did not know were lies.

This sort of failure is not allowed in the New Chinese Empire.

Putin has to go.
 
Putin leaving almost certainly will not result in their taming vis-a-vis Western demands, Russia is now firmly controlled by China which will not change...and they chinese are out to kick our asses.
