It is fine if you do not like Eurovision, but it is important to the Europeans. It is a big event. The Russian people will be asking why they are not invited. Putin cannot spin this.

Horseshit. In my European experience- and I've had more than a belly-full of it- the Eurovision Song Contest is a standing joke. It's a heavily-politicized exercise in embarrassing freako displays accompanied by auto-corrected pseudo-music mangling.
It's watched because it's a freak show, pushing the limits of human stupidity. The first performer who sings while taking a dump on stage will win it by a landslide.
