Russia declares ceasefire in Ukraine's Kyiv, 3 other cities.

Polish government officials on Monday said that Poland has not, and will not, send its fighter jets to Ukraine to support Ukraine’s defense against Russia.

A deputy foreign minister, Marcin Przydacz, said in an interview on Radio Zet that: “We will not open our airports and Polish planes will not fight over Ukraine … Polish planes will not fight over Ukraine.”

But separately the government spokesman, Piotr Mueller, indicated a final decision had not been made. He said that a decision on whether to send fighter jets presents risks and is a “very delicate matter.”
 
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is making clear that he stands by exempting Russian energy deliveries from an increasing raft of sanctions against Russia.

Scholz said in a statement on Monday emphasizing Germany’s support for tough measures against Russia that Europe has deliberately exempted energy deliveries.

He added: “Europe’s supply with energy for heating, for mobility, power supply and for industry cannot at the moment be secured otherwise.” That, he said, is of “essential significance” for people’s daily lives.

i said "notoriously so" and you know that's true..other then that im more interested in why Russians arent advancing to encircle Kyiv. is it morale? strategy? resistance? logistics? linking up with southern pincer?

The Ukrainians have been given many thousands of anti-tank weapons and Stinger MANPADs, they've made a huge difference.

It's been ' compassion ' for a while. Getting on for two million civilians have now managed to exit Ukraine- minus the men and boys- who have been conscripted.

Do you have actual evidence in support of that claim? Video? Pictures of dead civilians?

How about news reports of all the civilians being received in Russia or Belarus and given aid?

JAVELIN are essentially TOW except wireless "fire and forget"
Turkish drones did some damage - no reports of IEDS I know of

But a mechanized convoy is a liability if it just sits there
conventional thought is it was deployed too early -might just be that simple

Did I ask for western media? Surely Russia must be showing pictures of all the fleeing Ukrainians being welcomed with open arms on Russian soil. Pravda doesn't seem to be showing any such thing.

Ukraine calls Russia’s evacuation proposal ‘absurd’

The Russian Defense Ministry urged Ukraine not to prevent civilians from leaving Kiev, Kharkov, Sumy and Mariupol on Monday for Russia via established routes. According to Moscow’s plan, people leaving Kiev were to arrive in Belarus, from where they would be flown to Russia, while some of those leaving other cities would cross into Russia directly. The defense ministry promised a temporary ceasefire starting from 10am local time on Monday.

Not evidence of anyone blocking Ukrainians from fleeing to Russia. Statements by Russian or Ukrainian governments aren't really proof of anything other than the governments are making those statements.

So once again, where is your evidence of Russia accepting any refugees? If your original claims are true, we should have seen refugees fleeing from the Donbass region because of Ukrainian attacks and there is no way for the Ukrainians to have prevented them from fleeing to Russia based on where the forces were. Shouldn't we see video and pictures of Ukranians being welcomed to Russia from the regions that Ukraine was supposedly attacking? Ukraine is not attacking Kyiv or Mariupol or the other cities RT is mentioning. Russia is.
