If Russia does attack Ukraine, be it this weekend or when ever the cost should be great to Russian in lives and material?!! It should not be a cakewalk, when you invade a sovereign country, like when Germany invaded Russia in 1940, it was costly to Germany and the same for France when Napoleon invaded Russia?!! Putin is crazy to think NATO would attack Russia, a nuclear armed country?!! Russia/Soviet could not maintain all those Warsaw Pack countries, it takes a lot of money and men and material to occupy a bunch of countries?!! NATO is the force to make sure Russia does not invade the former Warsaw Pack countries?!!

why not? always ask for more then you need. But he knows NATO is not going to rollback members.Putin has been demanding that NATO leave the Baltic States, Bulgaria and Romania. Why?
eastern Europe is like a stalemate on a chessboard. You can add more material, but the position is locked upChewing up our rapid reaction forces by sending them to Eastern Europe for show, there is zero chance they will do any good, is exactly the speed of our Failed Elites.![]()
They betrayed us on Iraq, and Libya, and nation building in Afghan ( although that was more political)Tulsi Gabbard just said on Tucker that her evaluation is that the American Failed Intelligentsia wants Russia to invade Ukraine, they are trying to make it happen.
They have betrayed us
And they are idiots.

If we offered to keep Ukraine neutral ( like the Budapest Memorandum did) and he accepts in return for standing down and promising not to go in - that would be a huge diplomatic win for the USA/Russia
Even Biden wold look like a statesman ( instead of a dumb reactionary)
If Putin holds out - then all the careful stagecraft Putin and Xi have been putting out to show their axis
is superior to the western liberal democracies - then Putin loses all moral authority for his red lines
They betrayed us on Iraq, and Libya, and nation building in Afghan ( although that was more political)
The CIA came up with the bonehead idea to arm 'Syrian rebels" who promptly lost their weapons caches
Gabbard is correct.
What they want is a short not too destructive war so they are relevant and can say "we told you so"
Then they become oracles for the next crisis
Trump resisted their tendencies, but Biden is too weak to be anything more then a front man for the Deep State
eastern Europe is like a stalemate on a chessboard. You can add more material, but the position is locked up
All those deployments and billions in weapons are just a waste when we need resources for the Pacific instead

absolutely. things can get awry quickly. fr link:I hope you are right, that all makes sense but it may have gone past that stage now. Remember WW1 and the rigid train timetables.

which is why it's quite possible to set things off in motion to war,And basically what happened after that, a whole series of events were set in motion. Basically the European allies and powers playing off one another – different alliances and ententes were set in motion

especially since Biden only knows to escalate as a response to Putin's massing.
And it's not just Biden - the Senate is full of Russiaphobic hysteria
And this aint Libya or even Iraq, Russia is a serious military power.
