Rush Limbaugh in the hospital

Psalm 109:8 can be interpretated more than one way. Psalm 109:9 leaves less room for doubt as to what the person doing the praying is praying for.

dude....you claimed they were citing 109:9 (you even copied the verse)....that is not true, they cited 109:8....even your link shows the correct verse, you however, changed it to something else

Unless you've got another interpretation of Psalm 109:9

hehe, Psalm 109 is right up your alley, Zap.....it begins by talking about YOU....

1 O God, whom I praise,
do not remain silent,

2 for wicked and deceitful men
have opened their mouths against me;
they have spoken against me with lying tongues.

3 With words of hatred they surround me;
they attack me without cause.

David, who is being wrongly pursued by Saul so as to be killed, prays for Sauls demise and his own rescue and you put this on the same par as those who called for Bush's or Rush's murder?... You really are a large piece of waste.
actually, it was more likely Nabal, than Saul....

I Samuel 25
39 When David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, "Praise be to the LORD, who has upheld my cause against Nabal for treating me with contempt. He has kept his servant from doing wrong and has brought Nabal's wrongdoing down on his own head."

Great mind teaser in that it caused me to read further. What I have discovered is that this Psalm is called a "mystery". Here's a good commentary on it.

BTW, after reading I agree it is not Saul, but not Nabal either. In the commentary it is suggested that he is praying against specific and non specific enemies; the Psalm of Iscariot's?

Rush is fine now. There is nothing wrong with his heart, so the left can go right on hating, which they are so good at doing.

I'm pretty sure those hoping for his death are going to be disappointed, and he'll be on the radio talking about health care in the US denouncing the current effort to malform the system we have...

;)

So sayeth Blabba the blind, Blabba the liar. She's SO relieved that the neocon GOP's favorite liar and distortion speaker is alive and well, raring to go next week. Jeezus.

You mean like giving a asshole the Nobel peace prize for doing nothing other than being the first black President ?

Only a willfully ignorant neocon parrot would compare a Harvard educated, Constitutional lawyer/professor with a record of positive civil service who was fairly elected to the Presidency of the USA to a drug addled, documented liar and propagandist radio jock shilling for the neocons. Way to go Jeffy.

P.S.: Yeah, the Nobel Peace Prize went to the First Black President as a resounding "FUCK YOU" to the previous 8 years and all the assholes who supported it. TFB for you.

The book has been on the market for a LONG time, genius...or didn't you read the pub date. So I don't expect recent sales to be sterling.

Bottom line: try as you might with your lame ass neocon tactic of distortion, you can't change the FACT that your hero Limbaugh has a pathology of lies that filled a book...lies that TO DATE COULD NOT BE REFUTED.

Deal with it.

I find it hilarious how the left zero's in a radio talk show host or a T.V. news station (fox news) to hate and demonize..

I see now they have zeroed in on Rasmussen for his polling date, of course the charge is lead by mediamatters and the dailyKos .....

Democrats are turning their fire on Scott Rasmussen, the prolific independent pollster whose surveys on elections, President Obama’s popularity and a host of other issues are surfacing in the media with increasing frequency.

The pointed attacks reflect a hardening conventional wisdom among prominent liberal bloggers and many Democrats that Rasmussen Reports polls are, at best, the result of a flawed polling model and, at worst, designed to undermine Democratic politicians and the party’s national agenda.

On progressive-oriented websites, anti-Rasmussen sentiment is an article of faith. “Rasmussen Caught With Their Thumb on the Scale,” blared the Daily Kos this summer. “Rasmussen Reports, You Decide,” the blog Swing State Project recently headlined in a play on the Fox News motto.

Only liberals wish death on others. It's a sickness.

Dissimulation to the nth degree.

"The Associated Press reports that in addition to “Death to Obama,” the sign also read: “Death to Michelle and her two stupid kids.” The man holding the sign was taken into custody by deputies on the scene, and was turned over to the U.S. Secret Service. According to the AP, the Secret Service said an investigation is ongoing, but offered no further comment"

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUHS5u8v1Ck"]YouTube- Pastor Wiley Drake Prays For Obama's Death[/ame]
Drake said on the June 2 Fox News Radio broadcast that he didn't understand why people were upset with his comments, which were quoted from a webcast of his own daily radio talk show.

"Imprecatory prayer is agreeing with God, and if people don't like that, they need to talk to God," Drake told invisible host Alan Colmes. "God said it, I didn't. I was just agreeing with God."

Asked if there are others for whom Drake is praying "imprecatory prayer," Drake hesitated before answering that there are several. "The usurper that is in the White House is one, B. Hussein Obama," he said.

Colmes later pressed Drake to ensure he had heard the preacher right.

"Are you praying for his death?" Colmes asked.

"Yes," Drake replied.

"So you're praying for the death of the president of the United States?"

"Yes."

Colmes asked if he was concerned he might be placed on a Secret Service or FBI watch list. "I think it's appropriate to pray the Word of God," Drake answered. "I'm not saying anything. What I am doing is repeating what God is saying, and if that puts me on somebody's list, then I'll just have to be on their list."

"You would like for the president of the United States to die?" Colmes asked once more.

"If he does not turn to God and does not turn his life around, I am asking God to enforce imprecatory prayers that are throughout the Scripture that would cause him death, that's correct."

"I hope that God strikes Barack Obama with brain cancer so he can die like Ted Kennedy and I hope it happens today," he told MyFOXPhoenix on Sunday. He called his message "spiritual warfare" and said he does not condone killing.

the cite is 109:8....not 109:9....your facts are wrong and you quoted 109:9, the incorrect verse...

Hair-splitting over 8 vs. 9 is irrelevant. At least two markets decided to remove the products based on interpretation of the verse.

Zazzle
Today, there has surfaced a great deal of discussion and debate over certain products in the Zazzle Marketplace which reference text from Psalm 109 in combination with reference to President Barack Obama. We at Zazzle are aware of the issue, and would like to take this opportunity to respond in a unified and public fashion to all parties and viewpoints.

Zazzle puts great value on its Marketplace as a forum for discussion and debate of the issues of our day. We are proud of the fact that no matter how arcane or apparently esoteric a subject may be, there can often be found Zazzle products pertaining to it. We are particularly sensitive to Zazzle as an open forum for the expression and debate of political viewpoints. The rigorous debate and discussion of political issues, including candidates for political office, our elected leaders, and pending and actual legislation, is something that drives the very democracy that in turn allows for our freedom as citizens to make these expressions in the first place.

With that in mind, it is only after great thought that we have determined that these products, in the context of the full text of Psalm 109, may be interpreted in such a way as to suggest physical harm to the President of the United States. In deference to the Office of the President of the United States, and in accordance with federal law prohibiting the making of threats against the physical wellbeing of the President of the United States, Zazzle has therefore determined that these products are in violation of the Zazzle User Agreement and not appropriate for inclusion in the Zazzle Marketplace. We have begun efforts to remove them from our website, and we will be vigilant to the publication of similar products moving forward.

This morning we made the decision to remove all Psalms 109:8 designs from CafePress.

The public debate started with questioning if the design was simply intended to be criticism of the President or something much worse. The discourse was surprisingly civil online, given the heated nature of the topic. Given that, and the positions of groups like the ACLU and the Anti-Defamation League, we decided to let the dialogue play out publicly before making a final decision.

Last night we posted a poll on our blog, read through the emails we’ve received and weighed the nature of the calls we’ve received on the topic. In the process we also learned that many of the original designers of the Psalm 109:8 designs had already decided to remove them on their own.

General consensus has proven that the design does point to a broader interpretation of the Psalm and thus has been deemed inappropriate for sale at CafePress.

We try to create an atmosphere of self-expression. Many of the things we encounter are not black and white, but grey. When the dialogue is civil, we want to let the larger community work things out rather than making an uninformed ruling. The dialogue has played out and common sentiment has reached agreement – this merchandise is not appropriate.

Thank you all for your input.

its not hair splitting you idiot....it is false to claim its 9 instead of 8, the verses are very different :pke:

I have no idea if they could be refuted or not...I've never read the book.......I expect you have no idea either.....in fact, I bet you've googled the book but never read it.....

Man, you've just taken the concept of "willfully ignorant neocon" to a whole other level!

You admit you have no idea of the books contents....yet you comment on it with assuredness as if you have. Then you try to transfer your personal idiocy to me in order to justify yourself.

My labeling you a "post modern fool" was an understatement!

As if either of them weren't equally alarming when referring to the man's life.

"His days should be few, his children fatherless, his wife widowed."

You repubs are so classy.

8 May his days be few;
may another take his place of leadership.

9 May his children be fatherless
and his wife a widow.

you can seriously stfu....as if dems never wished death on bush....please, keep your hypocritical partisan whining to yourself....

if you actually read the thread you would have seen even zappy said verse 8 was not as bad as verse 9 as verse 8 is not necessarily a death wish....as it could mean different things....yet you had to jump in and accuse me of splitting hairs when even zappy expressly stated there was a clear difference between the two verses.....

you owe me an apology :)

It's not alarming. It's a prayer of righteousness. A prayer asking God to smite his, and God's, enemy. The enemy that is trying to kill him.

You libs are so stupid, hypocritical, and shrill! You, who never said a word against posters like Lowiq who wished for Bush's assassination.

The pastor who prayed this prayer at Obama is misguided. The protesters who wished Obama's death were ignorant...but YOU are a hypocritical BITCH to take issue against them when you silently supported those who did the same against Bush!
