I don't know the answer of why now, and not in Jan, but I can speculate. I suspect that Trump had some kind of idea that he could still work with many of the people who were already in place. I don't think he knew that he would be facing all of the obstruction and political retaliation that he would be getting from the losing side of the aisle. He knew that he wanted to drain the swamp, but I don't think he anticipated how many alligators were guarding it. In hindsight, it would appear that he should have fired a whole lotta people immediately. I suspect that the reason why he has tried to work with people who he should have fired immediately is because he intended to represent all Americans, and not just the ones who voted for him, but I do not know for sure what the real answer is.
It appears to me that lefties have a single objective of vilifying anything that Trump does, and that on the subject of Comey, their primary objective is to find ANY plausible path that suggests Trump did something wrong or bad. I don't think that you are really interested in finding any legitimate explanation for why Comey was not fired sooner, and that the only roads you are looking for are the ones that suggest Trump has done something bad. If you really are interested in an objective answer, and not one that fits lefty agenda, there is plenty of stuff out there to be read. The MSM only offers subjective propaganda, so you would need to venture off to other media and information sources that do not satisfy your confirmation bias. If your primary objective of this thread is to find any plausible path that Trump did something wrong, just stick with the MSM.

my pet theory is something is about to happen with russia. The only change i can see is that meeting with trump the foreign minister and kissinger. Right before comey gets fired and american media were banned in (because they leak a lot). The fact taht kissinger is there is sending up alarm bells for me.
