Republican voters were misguided in giving up on their establishment. That was done by a misinformation campaign from the extreme right that make them believe insanely stupid things like Islamic terrorism is an existential threat compared to say, loose handgun laws.

The republican establishment has fewer really stupid ass beliefs than the republican base, but of course it's a case of dumb and dumber.

Not particularly, but I am capable of comparing two body counts. It ain't close, yet your party has you closing borders to an entire religion while keeping guns in the hands of teen psychopaths.

I then ask them if they wished I would lie about that

I could NEVER make myself believe in such a system as they believe in.

I tell them to get the fuck off my porch before I turn the hose on them. I don't pretend to respect something that isn't worth respecting. You like to believe that you can have things both ways. I don't waste my time with that.
