I wasn't duped by anything. I knew everything I was getting.

You just don't listen.

But this is what you choose to believe because it is how you deal with your current reality
 
For any remaining Trump supporter who hasn't figured it out yet, here's the deal:

Trump just says stuff. It doesn't matter if he knows anything about it or doesn't. It doesn't matter how realistic it is. It doesn't matter how he really feels about it.

Most importantly, it does not matter if it's true or not.

Virtually nothing he says has merit, or can be believed or trusted. He has less credibility than anyone in public life I can remember.

He just says stuff.

it was literally reported in multiple mainstream outlets and polled the attitudes of various voters and that's what they found. Liberals took him literally, conservatives understood the hyperbole. Liberals then proceed to talk about doom and gloom, then when they found out they took him too literally, they say everyone ELSE got duped. This isn't me saying this, this was various mainstream publications talking about how the various sides took his comments.
