He did take too many vacations. That's what all the jokes about clearing brush in Crawford were all about. Conservatives are just lazy people who want government institutions to fail so they can privatize all of it.

Republicans usually set all the precedents of bashing their political adversaries.
Republicans started the over-the-top beyond the pale criticisms while trying to deny the crimes of President Nixon and fighting the Congressional and Special Council's investigations during the beginnings of the Impeachment process in 1974. After, Nixon resigned in shame, this political disgruntledness carried over into the Carter Administration in the form of retaliation as the Republican Party used cheap-shots such as referring to Jimmy Carter as a "Peanut Farmer- with an alcoholic brother" as if to try and de-legitimize and criticize him. Campaign smearing of political adversaries became the new norm and standard for the Republicans.
It just became worse in every election up until this very moment!

And of course, it's OK for Republicans to criticize whoever they want!

The Nixon affair was a massive to do about nothing. But it was the Democrats and the FAKE media who set a precedent that when the party they support loses in a massive landslide, they will do anything they can to disenfranchise the Republican winner.
The break in of Watergate was a big NOTHING burger snowflake. It didn't have any effect on the outcome of the massive landslide Nixon had one and Nixon's main crime was trying to protect the people who conducted the break in.
Nixon should have cut them loose and he would have served out his term. Nixon was everything you loser liberals would love in a President. He got us out of Vietnam, a war started by a Democratic Administration and expanded by one, even if it meant abandoning an ally Democratic Presidents had supported for a decade. He signed laws banning cigarette ads, he signed the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, he created the EPA in 1970, extended the Clean Air Act of 1970, signed the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972, Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974, Endangered Species Act of 1973, signed the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty with Russia, opened th4e doors to China relations, oversaw the peaceful desegregation of southern schools and he ended the draft.
He also expanded enforcement of affirmative action, lowered the voting age to 18, wage and price controls.....you lefties would have loved a Democrat to do all those things. Yet in the end, it is all about identity politics and he just didn't have that damned "D" next to his name and beat out your guy.
