there is no agreed up limitations to what an SP investigation encompasses.
One reason Congress prohibited them ( by Congress) was because of the ever expanding nature of an SP investigation.

How could you possibly know or even begin to understand how evidence found in one area might lead to evidence in another?

Uncovering the details of Trump's financial dealings in Russia could easily lead to finding evidence and motive for collusion during the election.

You have no idea where anything they find might lead to.

The SP mandate was Russian interference/collusion and whether Trump obstructed justice with the word 'hope'.

Anything beyond that is an Inquisition/Witch Hunt and could easily be challenged, constitutionally. But since Sessions' knee-jerk recused himself he can't file a challenge in court.

Gotta love the Swamp.

Democrats didn't even know about it when they started this investigation over a year ago.

It's silly to call it a "witch hunt." NO ONE knows what they have, or what they have found out thus far. Obviously, it's enough to keep going.
