Politicians have a long tradition of saying one thing in Spanish and another in English. If you translate political ads that run on Spanish speaking channels they often contradict or at least offer a very different view of the candidate than is portrayed on the English Speaking channels.
Rubio tried to slip that in, but got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
He has since tried to say that what he said in Spanish has always been his position.
