Rough Libertarian Critique of Conservatives

how does one respond to an senseless idiotic rant?

Its the view stated in the opening post. Its the view held by most libertarians. If you disagree, youll need to string together a few words and state why. So called libertarians are insisting that govenment license and regulate homosexual relationships and to encourage their formation with tax breaks and governmental entitlements.

I think most libertarians are of the mindset that the gov't should not be licencing or giving benefits for married couples at all. But if we are going to give those benefits out, then gay couples should be included in them.

Libertarians believe that the government shouldn't be licensing your relationships at all. You can't know much about libertarians if you think they want to license and control your relationships in some way. Are you confusing liberals with libertarians?

I think the attempts to continue the ban on gay marriage is a waste of political capital for the conservatives. But then, I have never been a fan of social conservatism.

I am guessing the libertarians who argue the point with you must assume that governmental licencing of marriage will not go away, so we should allow gays to have the same access to the benefits and security that straights do.

Whoever this poster is is trying to claim that the government gives tax breaks and entitlements to encourage people to get married and if you don't care if gays get married then you support the government giving tax break and entitlements to gay couples to get married.

He must agree with the "Gay Enablers & Encouragers Theory".

Well, the opening post disagrees. Wikipedias page on libertarians disagrees.

Repeal of legislation prohibiting unions between members of the same sex, and the extension to such unions of all legal rights and privileges presently enjoyed by partners in heterosexual marriages.

And every libertarian Ive ever debated same-sex marriage with has disagreed in that they insited gay marriages be licensed, regulated and encouraged with tax breaks and governmental entitlements, even though in all our nations history prior to 2000, they had never been licensed and regulated before.

In the entire history before 2000? A whole 225 years?

Many things change as we grow wiser. This is simply the next change.

I like the spin you put on a simple do you support gay marriage or not question. So every Libertarian you have talked to supports legalized gay marriage?

You're still butt-hurt from me pointing out your logical fallacies. :)

LMAO! Is that it? Funny, I seem to recall pointing out plenty of yours. And my accusations have accurately fit the description of the logical fallacy. Yours have not.
