Ron Paul: I Would Not Have Ordered Bin Laden Raid

so what do you prefer? a president that works within the law and constitution? or one that stretches the law to the maximum possible, even violating it, to just do what they feel they need?

Point to the bad man and tell us where he touched you.

Thats quite funny......Obama does just what Conservatives would normally want a president to do, ACT and show leadership.....and now we have a Republican wanna be president, saying if he was in charge he would do
exactly what one would think the liberals would support, ask permission and follow........

The conclusion...????

Well the liberals are already supporting Obama's conservative actions.....so they are obviously hypocrite hacks...

and if the Cons actually show support for Paul and his liberal views, they too would be exposed as hypocrite hacks....

how entertaining....

There isn't anything "conservative" about going after OBL, bravs. If there was, Bush would have done it...
Are you being silly again....or just an asshole ?

Do you think Tora Bora Tora, is just the words to an Irish ballad ?

The conservative part was doing it without telling the Pakistani clowns......and we've all certainly commended Obama for his actions.....and staying the course....

Staying what course? Bush said OBL was irrelevant. Obama said getting him was the #1 priority.

you made the comment before and claimed you didn't mean bush didn't go after osama...and now you make it again for the sole purpose of showing bush did not go after osama...

another day another onceler lie

So whats you point, and whats the context....

OBL was "marginalized and irrelevant" as an AQ leader of operational terrorism, long ago...he was a figurehead....
His near miss with death at Tora Bora, and the killing or capture of his closest subordinates put him far underground and not the threat he was prior to 9/11.....
Do you think our military leaders will now stand down and go on vacation because OBL is dead....?
His death changes nothing except on an emotional and propaganda level.....so its a big win for Obama on those terms....

These military matters are probably far over your little head ....

Staying what course? Bush said OBL was irrelevant. Obama said getting him was the #1 priority.

I'd honestly agree that getting OBL wasn't a big deal, from a practical perspective. I can't really see devoting so much energy to getting OBL as anything but trying to score political point.

I agree with Paul. So many people are willing to abandon all of our concepts of rule of law, due process, and human rights, as if they were just some meaningless legalize, and for what? To sate some primitive bloodlust? I'm honestly not sure of many events that have made me more depressed about America than the killing of Osama Bin Laden.

It's so easy to tell when you've had a rough day on the board.

It was tough to hear that rep stuff again, wasn't it?

OBL wasn't a priority w/ Bush; Iraq was.

why are you constantly bringing up rep? obsess much?

why did you claim the other week that your comment did not mean bush did not go after osama....when today it is clear that is exactly what you mean? lie much...

I bring it up because I know the memory of how insane you were about rep bugs you. It's funny to watch you whine about it, and deny it.

Initially, I was much more magnanimous about the operation to get OBL; I didn't know the details. After having read about it much more, and seeing the massive conservative effort to rewrite history and make this some sort of Bush success, it's time to set the record straight: Bush had tunnel vision on Iraq, and didn't really care all that much about getting OBL.

still talking about rep in multiple threads...weird

IOW...you lied before. thanks for admitting that.
