Basically five issues.
1) where people under 16 in attendance.
2) Was there on stage activity prohibited by the law.
3) Is that what the law prohibits.
4) Is the law Constitutional.
5) Is the punishment what the law calls for.

Why does the governor have anything to do with this?

He doesn't. A law passed and is being upheld by governmental entities. The Governor's adjacent action was to sign the law or to allow it to become law without signing it by not vetoing it.

Basically, anything that someone even suggests (like the single idiot who tried to get support to pass a law to get bloggers to register) will be blamed on DeSantis even if he never suggested it or supported it. In this case it is part of a law that doesn't allow adult themed activity when minors under a certain age are present, it defines some specific activities as those that are limited by age. The same kind of laws that don't allow them into strip clubs, gambling casinos, etc.
