I believe in the right to bare arms too, but I really wish guys who do it would lift a few weights first. Just my opinion.
It's always good to see that. It's also the flaw of Southern Strategy for Republicans. There's just not enough angry white guys to go around to make it a winning strategy anymore. They have to reach out to other demographics and to do so they will, as DH pointed out, change some of their policies.I was encourage to see more women, more diversity in the election results last night.
I support the right to bare arms too. Bare legs are even better!I believe in the right to bare arms too, but I really wish guys who do it would lift a few weights first. Just my opinion.
I agree. I beleive your analysis is essentially correct. The question is, how will they do that? Specifically, what policies would they change or compromise on to reach out to those groups?Blacks,93% voted for Obama
Latinos,71% voted for Obama
Unmarried women,67% voted for Obama
Age 18-28 voters, 60% voted for Obama
Latinos alone propelled Obama to victory. Again, the white vote is going down every election...the GOP must reach into these other groups. If the GOP had just 1% more from each of these groups, Romney wins....so the GOP must wake up
RUNE go fuck off. Romney MIGHT HAVE added to the debt, Obama DEFINITELY added 6 trillion to the debt and blamed Bush for it all. He spent more in 4 years than Bush did in 8 years, and Bush had wars going on,while Obama was winding down the war. He's going to rack up more debt in the next 4 years. Will he still be blaming Bush in 2016?
and what did that solve regarding the problem of their parents?......

You need to get your math straight. Obama contributed 4 trillion to the debt. Two trillion of which he inerited via TARP, and as a response to mitigate the Bush recession. He also cut about 500 billion over the last two years by ending the Immoral war in Iraq and we will see further savings when we withdraw from Afghanistan. So, sell that soap to someone else. Three fourths of our national debt occured under Republican presidents or as a direct result of their failed policies.RUNE go fuck off. They will not get the Latino vote until the address illegal aliens in a fair way.

Then they will never get that vote....because the fair way to handle illegals is to deport them first, then jail if it happens again....
Well they are blaming this on Chris Christie, that's from Dick Morris' self-pitying mouth today. So you can expect that to spread. I never thought I could feel sorry for Christie, but if that guy really has national ambitions he in is trouble because the R's want to hang Romney's stinking corpse around his neck. And really all the guy did was not react in a partisan manner to a terrible disaster.
Also Romney's post first debate momentum had already stopped before Sandy, but they are lying about it and I bet it sticks.
Save this thread, and come back to it 4 years from now. See where the debt is and the economy. That is, if you can afford to have the internet, and electricity to power it. I will bet....hmm...I say we are WELL OVER 20 trillion in debt, maybe closer to 25 trillion. IF I am wrong(and I would be glad to be wrong)I will say so. WIll you admit if you are wrong?
Hello, people are just as fed up with cut taxes, spend far more and borrow, borrow, borrow. They are also sick and tired of right wing identity politics. The national vote may seem close but this was a land slide electoral victory and its demonstrable proof that the current Republican paradigm simply doesn't work. People want competent but limited government. What they don't want is right wing bigotry institutionalized in our government or culture nor do they want extreme right wing fiscal policy which has turned our nation into a plutocracy.
The simple fact is The Southern Strategy is dead. Southern cultural values have been rejected at a national level. Republicans now have no choice but to adopt a new strategy. Next they will have to walk away from irresponsible and unfair supply sider policies and return to Keynsian economic policies. Supply side economics is a failed system, we've tried it for 30 years and it hasn't work, it's time to return to the Keynesian model.
Unless Republicans are willing to make those reforms the changing demographics of this nation will keep them a permanent minority.

Where's that chicken little video when you need it.
Pay attention, I will only say this one more time.
Dems are the fiscally conservative party now. Been the case for 30 something years.
Stop watching Fox, things will slowly become clearer to you.
That's a deal. It won't really take that much sacrifice to get the debt under control. With then ending of both the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the winding down of the military industrial establishment to reasonable levels, we can simply allow the Bush era tax cuts expire (and yea I'm all for shared sacrifice so let them expire across the board, not just high income earners) the road to ending budget deficits is not that painfull. With the economy gaining momentem from recovering from the Bush recession, I'll be glad to make that visit with you in 4 years and if the debt is at 20 trillion then I'll consider voting for a Republican candidate as long as they are not a right wing ideologue or a Wall Street plutocrat. It wouldn't be the first time for me. I've voted for far more Republicans than I have Democrats.Save this thread, and come back to it 4 years from now.
