Romney is doomed!

Last I checked romney was still up there in the polls among republicans. I think one thing people are forgetting, is although romney may not be the first choice for many republicans, he has one of the best chances of being elected in the general election. And if there is anything republicans hate more than a northeastern republican, it's a black man in the white house.

There was a recent poll that I can't be bothered to find at the moment in which 80% of republicans said they would vote for someone that could beat obama, political disagreements aside. That's all you need to know.

Romney won't win a thing.

Nice horse head!

Boy, we have some completely stupid posters on here but you about take the cake. No, Carter was a mediocre President. A good administrator it was his policies that ended the Nixon era of stagflation though he took a pretty big political hit for that.

Now if you want to talk about worst Presidents ever, well there's no argument that the two worst Presidents in the last 50 years were Nixon and W.

So try posting when you know what the fuck you're talking about.

His policies that ended the stagflation? ROFLMAO.... that is quite amusing.... do explain to us which policies you are referring to.

As for worst Presidents.... Nixon and W are certainly right in the mix of it... but so are Carter and Obama. As things stand now, despite not even completing one term yet, Obama is winning the race to the bottom.

All because of Nixon's war and ineptitude. Just like Obama, Carter inherited a rebublicon shit pile.

Nixon's war? Give me a fucking break. It was Kennedy and Johnson that started Viet Nam. While Nixon certainly wasn't much better, you people are seriously re-writing history to call it Nixon's war. Also.... for the record... FORD followed Nixon. GDP growth was over 5% in 1976, the year PRIOR to Carter being elected. Inflation was at double digits due to the oil crisis in 74, but from 1975 until the end of his term in 1976, Ford drove inflation back down near 5%. It took Carter a couple of years to push the economy back to the double digit inflation. So please geniuses.... enough of trying to defend the ineptitude of Carter.

So you are saying Johnson and Kennedy were worse than Nixon?

I was talking about Iraq and W. Vietnam was not as simple, although maybe as bad, as what happened in Iraq. We were slowly sucked into Vietnam by a series of events that can be blamed on several administrations, but mostly Johnson. I consider Johnson amung the worst of presidents for that reason, but what W did was the worst thing that can be attributed to a single presidency that I can think of....

Maybe as Bad? 47k+ Deaths, another 150k+ wounded. Vietnam was far worse than Iraq. It isn't even close.

As for Iraq, that too spanned many Presidencies. The actual 'war' beginning in 1990, the first Bush refusing to remove Saddam, Clinton refusing to do anything other than lob missiles from time to time, Bush II going back in without a plan, then firing the incompetent Rumsfeld, then the surge, the the withdrawal under Obama. Obviously the case can be made that it went all the way back to WWII when the Soviets and US used Iran and Iraq against each other in attempts to dominate the oil region.

lol.....then what war did Nixon "start"?......the war with Congress over Watergate?.....

I was not talking aout a war... I was talking about the economic situation Nixon caused.

The only war I was talking about is Iraq you idiot. Take some reading comprehenson classes.

I was not comparing the amount of deaths, I was talking about how the wars got started, Bush's war was started based on a LIE. American heros were killed based on a LIE, actually a series of lies.

The war that you say President Bush started, could you tell me what year it was started?

take some writing classes, right after you take some history classes.....the economy was doing fine after Nixon....

You dont understand the lag the bad policy has on the economy, its okay, most Americans suffer from the same attention span problem.

These sites list 2003 as the start point of the Irag war. Since Irag accepted conditions for a permant cease fire on March 3, 1991, the present Irag war did not continue from then.

And since you were able to find this, then you should also be able to find the definition of a cease fire and what it entails.

Here's a hint: A cease fire is not a peace treaty. :)
