We have an extra 15.5 million people living illegally in the US that is like 6-7 extra Houstons and we are on a pace to add about 2.4 million per year or another Houston a year . That is like adding the populations of Alaska Wyoming and North Dakota EVERY YEAR. So yes illegal immigration does affect energy consumption in the US.

That still doesn't address the question that if all these people were legal would Texas not have the same energy issues? You're basically saying the state is overcrowded correct, and can't handle the energy needs of this many people
Texas is one of the fastest growing states in the country. If the state can't handle the energy needs of the people today, what's going to happen in the future?

I'm an advocate of building more nukes.
Currently we are experiencing uncontrolled rapid population growth. Some cities refuse additional new housing permits because they can't supply water sewer and electricity to all the new housing. We need time to build infrastructure to support all the new people.

Huntsville is full of illegals that have committed crimes in Texas. Do Americans commit crimes too. Yes but we are stuck with them. We don't have to be stuck with illegals. Illegal should be deported so they don't have a chance to commit crimes in the US like raping 10 year old little girls. Deporting illegals reduces the total energy consumption in the US and the total crime in the US.
You are making a false argument. No one is arguing that illegals us more energy than legal residents. The argument is that illegals should not be here to use energy at all.
