Yes, but the brave women who are speaking out ought to be commended! It is a good sign that the complaint did not come from the young black woman, but from current members who called out the "older" bigots responsible.

The US has done a lot of good for the world, even though a lot of was with motives that further American goals. But if you subtract the evil from the good the net result is by far more negative than for any other country.
Over 30 wars of aggression since around 1900 should tell the rest of the world all it needs to know.

If you are expecting equality for sororities and fraternities, you must know very little about most of them.
And this is certainly not an example of the Univ of Alabama's policies.
Wrong kneejerk comeback again. Of course Canada has it's racist element. But even the most braindead American has no trouble saying that the US south is sick with it's racism. Do you actually think it can be covered up?

I think there are still examples of racism in the south. But this is not the southern racism that everyone loves to rave about. This is rich white kids excluding anyone who is not like them.
This is every exclusive country club, social club or gated community that does what it can to preserve its lily white image.
