Robert Mueller's record shows surprising flaws

However, Pacific Standard Magazine disagrees that the Enron prosecution was a bust and, in fact, argues that it could provide a template for Mueller now. “The Enron team was patient and learned from its investigative and trial mistakes. After its yearslong run, it set a high-water mark for complex, high-profile financial inquiries, successfully indicting and imprisoning almost all of the company’s top executives,” the magazine reported. “Early on, the Enron team also won a jury conviction of the Arthur Andersen accounting firm, Enron’s auditor, on an obstruction-of-justice charge. That experience could prove valuable as the Russia team investigates.”

Weissmann should be charged with prosecutorial misconduct over Enron. People were thrown into jail and not released until SCOTUS *unaninmously* overturned Weismann’s work.

He should be nowhere near this investigation.

Would you be satisfied if Weismann was taken off the team, and they continued to move forward?

But the Enron Task Force may have given Mueller a hide thick enough to protect him from those attacks. More than that, Enron honed skills he'll need now in the Russia investigation, which may well touch on money laundering, secrecy havens, complex accounting maneuvers, campaign finance violations—and multiple lies.

As I talked with Mueller's former Enron Task Force colleagues in recent weeks, it became clear to me that he believes the Enron team was successful—and understands why. That means his special counsel team will probably move more slowly than people anticipate. But it might also shock people with its aggressive investigative and prosecutorial tactics

Good god. there is no limitation. In fact Mueller is a loose cannon/attack dog

Looks like you need to do more than just read headlines. Familiarize yourself with the Enron case before you attempt to improperly tie this to trump's ultimate undoing.

Has Mueller done anything that has not been within the scope of his mandate?
asked and answered..you either get the idea of discretion or you don't.

Mueller is an attack dog on a fishing expedition. He's the very worst choice for an SC, which should be self-limiting

In 1994, Trump went to a party with Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire who was a notorious registered sex offender, and raped a 13-year-old girl that night in what was a "savage sexual attack," according to a lawsuit filed in June 2016 by "Jane Doe." The account was corroborated by a witness in the suit, who claimed to have watched as the child performed various sexual acts on Trump and Epstein even after the two were advised she was a minor.
"Immediately following this rape Defendant Trump threatened me that, were I ever to reveal any of the details of Defendant Trump’s sexual and physical abuse of me, my family and I would be physically harmed if not killed," Jane Doe wrote in the lawsuit, filed in New York.
The lawsuit was dropped in November 2016, just four days before the election, with Jane Doe's attorneys citing "numerous threats" against her.

Honey bunch, he is our attack dog and he isnt going anywhere

Suppose your dreams come true and they impeach Trump over a process crime or something financial that went down years ago but had nothing to do with Russia or the election.

What would you foresee in terms of political blowback?

I can assure you that any Trump impeachment will be directly related to the Russian investigation, anything else will just be icing on the cake. With an approval rating in the 30's most likely your blowback will take the form of a celebration.

trump being impeached will be worse for the country. Pence is just as delusional as trump, but he knows how to act like a politician

You’ve been sold a bill of goods on Trump colluding with Russians.

Have you seen the Democrat Party numbers? The media numbers? All of those people who voted for Trump, do you think they might be energized?

"You’ve been sold a bill of goods on Trump colluding with Russians." How exactly would you know this or anything close to it.
Yes, I have seen the numbers and they are a disaster for the entire republican party.
