HARtFORD, Conn. -- If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
A weeklong recount declared Democrat Joe Courtney as the winner of the 2nd Congressional District, defeating four-term incumbent Republican Rep. Rob Simmons. This year's race between the two candidates reflects a rematch of the race between Courtney and Simmons in 2002.
Connecticut Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz announced Wednesday at 11:12 a.m. that the vote margin totaled to 90 votes in Courtney's favor
