You made my point. Believing others are looking down on them, questioning their intelligence, etc. creates a backlash. Whether your descriptions are correct is irrelevant, it still creates a hatred toward those disparaging them by saying "they lack integrity, moral values, and intelligence."
Even worse, to lump Republican voters with groups like "QAnon, White Supremacists, KKK, Russians" (which are such a small fraction of Americans) is the worst kind of partisan stereotyping.
I certainly agree with you about aristocrats, but Republicans are no more aristocrats than Democrats. One of the changes in recent years is that Democrats are just as likely to be high income earners as Republicans and in 2016 contributed a lot more money to the presidential campaign.
I disliked conservatives because of their intolerance and sided with liberals on that issue. However, over the years I realized liberals had become (or always been) equally intolerant. Tolerance, support for civil liberties and civil rights was traditionally correlated with income level but that no longer seems true. The two sides are equally intolerant--just toward different groups.
And Democrats claim to be for the working guy that they now claim are uneducated hicks--equally hypocritical. You are falling for labels and images the parties use to attract voters developed in focus groups by political consultants with reality. Both parties switch their moral arguments based on the issue and controversy.
Filibusters are either evil obstructionist tactics thwarting the will of the majority when blocking judicial confirmations or legislation our side wants or protecting the rights of the minority when our side is using those tactics. Then, when the situation is reversed, both parties use the same moral arguments they argued against when used by the other side. And, most partisans cannot see their party's tactics are the same as the other party and continue to pretend they are morally superior.
I think being impeached was a type of "attack." Hillary even called it a "vast right-wing conspiracy" (and Republicans call it the "deep state"). There must be a conspiracy to get our guy so our side circles the wagons against our "enemies." The parties have the voters in the palm of their hands by manipulating their emotions.
