I think that is somewhat simplistic. It worked for the Democrats to portray that image since most people are not aristocratic elites. But now the Democrats are those elites and brag about it. We have seen hundreds of posts claiming those voting for Clinton were the educated versus the "uneducated" Trump voters. Whether this is true is irrelevant---what is important is the the white working class realized they were being called deplorables and voted against those denigrating them.

How can that be when Clinton still won the popular vote? Why do right wingers continue to refuse to accept that very reality? And when one takes an honest look at those who support Trump (QAnon, White Supremacists, KKK, Russians, etc.) how can one honestly say they are not "deplorable"? All the "White Working Class" proved is that they lack integrity, moral values, and intelligence.

BTW, an aristocratic class is rarely the majority of the people, and I doubt you could come close to proving that the Democrat Party is now the "aristocrat" class. Educated does not make you aristocratic.

Then too, all you have to do is look at the posts of ardent Trump supporters like TruthDetector, CFM, Countryboy, and others, to understand that truth, integrity, and intelligence, is not required for the Trump supporter.

if I am looking for moral leadership from a politician, or hoping a politician is a moral compass for my kids, then I am a pretty sad individual.

I want my politicians, especially my President to do what is good for America, protect our borders, our cash, and above all make sure that any nut-job that has ideas like 9-11 knows he better tread lightly. Mean what you say and say what you mean.

Except Republicans have claimed to be the moral majority religious values family values brand, not Dems. Not the same at all. Dems are not claiming the mantle of religious values conservative, attacking Trump to be sure on any front available, including hypocrisy of his faithful. Meanwhile Giuliani is saying stormy should not be believed because she is an immoral woman.

Republicans didn't "attack" BillyBob Clinton other than his banging women left and right and his and Hillary's corrupt behavior attacking those women.

BillyBob, after losing the House and the Senate like ObamaTard did, worked WITH the Republicans who set the agenda for the next six years leading to economic expansion and job growth and actually balancing the Federal budget for thew first time in decades.
