Initially, it seemed as if the military took down the private craft that invaded DC airspace. It turns out the pilot was unconscious.

It appears to have been a "Payne Stewart" situation, where the plane cabin depressurized and killed the occupants. The plane, on autopilot continues to fly until it runs out of fuel. Pretty tragic.

I think they just go to sleep. Weird there's no failsafe, such as an alarm to warn the pilots. If there were the pilot could just descend and open a window if there's no cabin pressure.
