Ricky Gervais has addressed trans rights, identity politics and cancel culture during new Netflix comedy show
During an opening monologue he describes the 'new women we've been seeing lately with beards and cocks'
• Gervais also speaks of support for trans rights during the show, but adds: 'Lose the cocks. that's all I'm saying'
• Comedian, 60, has been praised after telling audience: 'You can’t predict what will be offensive in the future'
• But some viewers have taken to social media to blast the comedian and Netflix over the 'bigoted hatred'

Twitter's 'woke brigade' has turned on comedian Ricky Gervais after he was praised for his new Netflix special 'SuperNature' that mocks cancel culture with jokes about trans people, Adolf Hitler and AIDS.

Humor will always be a subjective issue. Comedians like Gervais target everybody. Nobody is off limits. Much like Chappelle. Freedom of speech is a right and it also comes with consequences and Gervais himself has said the same many times. He knows what can happen but he goes ahead and does his thing. Again, much like Chappelle.

The court of public opinion will either accept or reject such things with their money and attention.

Everybody has their detractors. If you want to stay relevant and not disappear into the has been/used to be famous pile then you need more fans than haters.

Must be why white supremacists/Nazis never really go away in America.
