RFK Jr. for President ad on Superbowl...

It probably cost their entire budget. LOL

It cost $7+ million. A PAC paid for it, so the money could have come from anywhere. Kennedy has plenty of money in untraceable PAC money, but almost no actual supporters. What is happening is people who oppose the Democratic Party are donating large amounts of money to Kennedy.

Donating against someone as opposed to for someone? Seems like an odd waste of money.

Not a waste of money. If he can peel away a few votes from Biden, trump can win. So trump supporters are donating to Kennedy, hoping to hurt Biden.

Yup.

Magats have accepted Trump has a ceiling of votes and it is not enough to win. The only way he can win, is not by trying to increase his votes, by trying to peel and and all Biden votes. That is why they want multiple third party candidates and will fund them all, even if someone like RFK is a risk to peel off more vax denier and other Magats than Dems as the Magats HAVE TO gamble. They know they lose otherwise.

Repubs have even entered a candidate in a race who has a name similar to the Dem candidate. The idea is some dems will vote for the wrong guy. It is what they call winning.

JFK, Jr. apologizes for ad. Claims he didn’t know! How irresponsible of his campaign if that’s true.

God bless you,” Kennedy wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.”[/FONT]

Why does Trump have a ceiling on votes? Because only so many people will sell their souls to support a draft-dodging, adulterous, lying traitor and pedophile/sex trafficker? The MAGAts need to beat Biden down because they can't be better than him? A race to the bottom of human society?

Superpac paid for it, so Kennedy had nothing to do with it, if he follows the laws that is.

Looks like all of their money will be going into some very bad ads.

And it is not going to prevent Biden a convincing win, so they are just wasting money on bad ads that aren't going no where!

I don't know about you Trumptards, but I know no Democrats are going to be voting for an anti-vaxer and conspiracy theorist!

And if anyone thinks so, they are crazier then Donald Trump!

Agreed.

FWIW, I strongly doubt Superpacs were what the Founders envisioned for their descendants.

Most of the founders thought there should be no political parties at all. Though Jefferson threw a wrench into the works on that one almost instantly with the Democratic Republican Party.

SuperPacs should be illegal.

You'd have to change the First Amendment... we have a right to assemble and to free speech... Both of which are done by SuperPacs.

I get the sentiment, but I think some things like SuperPacs are how we pay for our freedoms when we do not pay by "watering the tree of liberty with the blood of patriots"...

What?! They're not contributing to freedom or Democracy at all!

Now I don't wanna be all false Cause-Correlation lyin', and I have no evidence of this, but the whole campaign/voting thing has been degraded since "SuperPAC" s started.

Protecting your rights from government overreach is contributing to freedom and democracy. Even when it comes out in a fashion you dislike we need to continue to protect the rights they are using. That is how we pay for our freedoms... by learning to tolerate some things we also do not like that come with them because we understand that at some point we may need to exercise those rights.

Agreed. Still, it points to the idea that they believed the power should remain with We, the People, not a select few.

To be clear, I support an informed, educated public. Not the dumbing down of the public as the parties seem to desire. Chipping away at public education, demonizing teachers and putting religion over science are not conducive to a strong, united group of educated people.
