Republicans will lose on abortion

Nope I am not pro-abortion. To be honest, I wish there was no abortion. That would be ideal. But alas abortion is here to stay. Nothing you and I can do about it.

In the words of an outstanding member of the U.S. House from SC - 2 when addressing the falsehood of an incompetent black President, "You lie".

Translation: Dammit!!! I seriously want him to say he's pro-abortion! So I'll just make shit up to make myself feel better!

This is a statement by a childless individual. There is true altruism, I would gladly die for my children or grandchildren without a second thought.

That’s because they can only frame it in emotional and irrational language.

Here’s the hard cold logic on abortion. Either extreme of the abortion issue, that is to say, abortion for no reason what so ever and abortion for any reason what so ever are both immoral and unethical.

If a woman is told by a physician with 100% certainty that if she completes her term if pregnancy than both her and the baby will die, not permitting her an abortion would be both immoral and unethical.

Conversely if a healthy woman with a healthy 8 month fetus decides to have an abortion because it’s summer and she’d look better in a bikini, that to would be immoral and unethical.

So where is the region in the grey area in between where abortion is morally and ethically permissible and when is it impermissible and who decides?

Our courts have decided that this is a constitutionally protected privacy right between a woman, her conscience, within limited circumstances.

Now here’s the part where you can have a laugh. The same guys who are calling women baby killers, if they were the ones who bore children and you told those men they couldn’t have an abortion they would be like “Fuck you! It’s my body and I’ll do with it what I god damned well want.

how is that wrong? I literally saw rashid talib basically say what I typed out. I didn't even think it was controversial. If a woman is forced to carry a baby to term, they will objectively be at an economic and social disadvantage compared to men. Maybe you personally wouldn't abort a baby in your mind, but many women would. The debate has never been about the conscious level of the fetus/baby. It's been about personal choice and bodily sovereignty

There, that's better. Less hyperbole and more of your own opinion, thanks.

Of course it is about bodily autonomy. It is about personal say-so over one's body. You non-uterus people seem to think that just because historically you've controlled things and other people, that gives you a right to continue to do so. You (group you) will use weaponized religion as one tool in your arsenal. Also, scorn and slut-shaming. Just look at some of the comments in here about "spreading her legs" and so on. Since those no longer work as well because we uppity women don't care, you're now trying to use secular law to enforce what you think is your right to control us.

No matter how much you wish it were so, an embryo has no consciousness. It cannot exist outside the uterine environment. Late-term abortions are exceedingly rare, and are nearly always performed because either the fetus is not viable or the mother's health is in danger. Using that "suck the brains out of a living child" argument is as stupid as "Democrats all favor open borders." Both are hyperbolic and frankly, are lies.

You (group you) have absolutely zero right, interest, or reason to insert yourself into the deeply private and personal decision to end a pregnancy. Despite what some forced-birthers would have you believe, it is not as simple as "This mole on my arm is embarrassing so I'm going to have it removed."

LOL -- how true. I've often wished that a group of female lawmakers would propose legislation stating that no male may have unprotected sex, or face a fine and/or jail time. The poutrage from every man in that jurisdiction would be delicious.

I believe something like that was proposed by an Alabama State Congress woman and you're right. The conservative male faction was outraged.

The laugh is that a stupid libtard fuck thinks that's a logical argument. :palm: If men could get pregnant, they would be women. :palm:

You can have your so-called transgender surgery, but you'll never ever be a woman, Mott. You're fucking delusional.

Maybe....but unlike you I'm capable of critical thinking and dealing with facts. Good luck with those...you obviously need it.

i agree an embryo doens't have consciousness, though it's debatable much further along in pregnancy. Though again, I think that is a misleading argument because I think if we woke up tomorrow and everyone agreed the fertrus/baby had consciousness from conception and it was fully aware, women would still want the right to abort. The crux of the argument does not settle on it's level of consciousness, but over bodily sovereignty.

i disagree on this. we live in a democracy. People are allowed to vote. You could say people don't have a moral right to vote, but clearly they have the actual right to vote on these issues. We have people that aren't as direcrtly vested in something vote all the time on things in america. Poor people are allowed to vote what we do with this countries money, even when they don't pay any taxes. People vote to go to war even if they don't fight in one. Men get to vote on abortion and whether it's allowed.
