He provided the forum for the comment to be made, his team knew the comment was going to be made, and he did not condemn the comment.

I have never, ever heard Trump express any genuine regret or contrition. Even about cheating on all his wives.

1) A no-name comedian made a joke about the conditions in Puerto Rico.
2) The current "President" (Chief Puppet) seriously and directly called Trump supporters garbage.

I care about #2, not about #1.
